5: Super Mario Galaxy
This is a highly anticipated game made by Nintendo. Its made for the wii which came out in the winter of 2006. Super Mario galaxy will come out at the end of fall in 2007. In the game you play as Mario again but this time Mario is traveling in space from planet to planet. Most of the game is set in space along a chain of miniature planetoids and other space matter. Gravity plays a significant role in the game, as each planet has a gravitational force that prevents Mario from drifting off into space, which allows the player to walk evenly around a complexly rounded surface.
Two items have been revealed recently. A “Bee Suit” which transforms Mario into a bee so he can walk on certain surfaces Mario couldn't and be able to fly for a period of time and a “Boo Suit” which transforms Mario into a Boo; according to Nintendo Power, the Boo Suit can help Mario travel through certain objects. Unfortunately when Mario touches water he loses his bee suit and when he touches a certain beam of light he loses his boo suit.
That's all for this game. Wait till it comes out in November.
4: GTA 4 (Grand Theft Auto 4)
GTA 4 is the first upcoming GTA game for the next generation game console. This game is for the PS3 and the Xbox 360. There are 2 trailers for the game. Each trailer showed something different about the game. The first trailer showed about the main character and who he is and a monolog. The second trailer was about who he was looking for in and he was.
Titles in the GTA series have traditionally been heavily mission based (fixed missions must be completed to progress through each game), but the freedom to explore and play outside of the set missions in GTA IV will now be more relevant to progress through the game, according to Rockstar games. The game takes place in Liberty City just like past GTA games.
The release date for the game is October 16 2007.
3: Metal Gear Solid Online
Yes Metal Gear Solid Online is the first MGS game to play online. Based on Metal Gear Solid 4's next-generation graphics engine and new control scheme, Metal Gear Online will mark a groundbreaking direction for the series and online multiplayer gaming when it launches for the PS3 computer entertainment system. Making its debut with Metal Gear Online's next generation debut is the SOP system - a cornerstone gameplay mechanic that encourages players to link together with teammates' nanomachines to build a matrix of real-time information that includes teammates' whereabouts, battle condition, and location of nearest enemy. This game doesn't have a release date yet but, its said to release in the winter of 2008. That's all the information I have on that game.
2: Super Smash Bros Brawl
Finally its coming out Super Smash Bros Brawl many have waited for this game and its coming out on December 3rd 2007. This is going to be one of the best games for the wii in my opinion. If you have played this game before then you might know the veteran characters for the game. Nintendo added 3 new characters to the game. Nintendo has added Pit, Wario, and Zero suit Samus. There are four different ways to play SSBB. The first way is holding the Wii remote sideways and pressing the button. The second is by using the Wii remote and Numchuk. The third is by using the Wii's classic controller. And the last is the Gamecube controller. They have put new items and new Pokemon in the Pokeballs. Two new Pokemon in the Pokeballs are Deoxys and Groudon. 3 new items are the gooey bomb, the cracker launcher and the banana peel.
And now the number one game is...
Halo 3
Yes its coming out Microsoft has delayed this game many times but its coming out on September 25th 2007. In this game its told that master chief has a gold suit or its more shiny. The gameplay of Halo 3 largely builds off of the previous successful renditions of the franchise. It is a first-person shooter that, once again, follows the character Master Chief and his struggle against the Covenant and the Flood. The game's action takes place largely on foot, but there are vehicles available for the player to use at certain points in the game. As with the other Halo titles, the multiplayer portion of the game is one of the game's most celebrated features, and is the primary reason for the series' enormous success.
The balance of weapons and objects in the game has been adjusted to adhere to what Multiplayer Designer Lars Bakken describes as the "Golden Three Things of Halo". These are weapons, grenades, and melee attacks; all three of which are simultaneously available to a player at all times while on foot (unless they are dual wielding).
