Just because I used the term "tricks" doesn't mean that I'll teach you how to cheat in the game Fight Night Round 3. There's no substitute to playing well and knocking your enemy down. Here are some tips that will help you become the envy of your playmates and opponents in this popular boxing video game:
Diego Corrales Is The Perfect Match For Manny Pacquiao
In the featherweight division, you will have a greater chance of winning against Manny Pacquiao if you use Diego Corrales. He (Diego) is the only player in that division who can match Pacquiao's speed and power. Barrera doesnt have the speed and reach, and Morales doesnt have the strength to match Manny Pacquiao. Diego Corrales, I repeat, is Pacquiao's perfect match. Use him.
And take note. Diego Corrales doesn't bleed easily, so he can take the game to the 10th to 12th round without being knocked down (that is, if you know how to use him right).Don't Underestimate The Body Haymaker
The body haymaker is one of the strongest game strategies you can ever use in Fight Night. It weakens the enemy and sends him wincing in pain. But you have to time it right. The best way to use the body haymaker is to crouch, then allow the opponent to punch you. When the opponent punches you, you can either do two things: Block the punch, or dodge it. After you successfully block or dodge the punch, push the haymaker button (I think in the PS joystick, this is the X button) while you are crouching. This will send the haymaker towards your opponents belly. If you successfully do this three or four times in a round, your opponent will either get wobbly or knocked down. (Sometimes the best combination is to use the body haymaker along with a series of short face jabs)Don't Punch Too Much, It Will Exhaust Your Player
Lots of newbies make one fatal mistake. They let their player punch too much without pausing. Wrong. You must be aware of the stamina bar at all times. When that stamina bar lessens at least in half, STOP punching and rest for a moment. You can either dance around your enemy, or block/dodge his punches while waiting for your stamina to go back in full bar. When Fighting A Bigger Player In Another Weight Class, Go For Speed, Not Power
I fought a player who used Evander Holyfield, and I'm using Cesar Chavez Jr. The result? The referee stopped the fight because of too much bleeding on Holyfield's right eye. Short, quick jabs and some dancing around the enemy can help you defeat the strongest heavyweight boxers, even though you're just using featherweight fighters. The Haymaker: Uppercut-Face Jab Counterpunch
This is my favorite counterpunch and often it causes the game watchers to go Wow about your game. While using a lower body stance, try to counterpunch with a body haymaker (press X button on joystick), then follow up with an uppercut (slide the analog stick from down to forward/backward direction). Then after the uppercut, storm the enemy with a series of short jabs right on the face. Even Muhammad Ali cannot withstand this if you do it right.
