Top Ten Quarterbacks for Fantasy Football 2007

Now that football season is upon us, it’s time to figure out what players will have the biggest fantasy impact on the 2007 season. Here is a wrap up of the best Quarterbacks for Fantasy Football 2007.

Last year was definitely the year of Drew Brees and Peyton Manning. Now looking forward on to this year, I'll breakdown the top choices that will help you put your team over the top.

1. Peyton Manning, Indianapolis Colts

Of course he's still the best Quarterback in the league and it looks as if it will stay that way for years to come. Not only did he lead the league in touchdown passes, but he also had the highest quarterback rating.

The Colts did Manning a big favor on draft day by taking Anthony Gonzalez of Ohio State University. Gonzalez should fit in perfect with Manning due to his precise route running and hard work ethic. Look for Manning's numbers to beat that of last years.

His stats include:

  • 4,397 Passing Yards
  • 31 Touchdowns
  • 9 Interceptions
  • 36 Rushing Yards

2. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints

Brees led the league in passing yards last season and led the most exciting offense in the NFL. Now this season, he is looking to build upon last years success with more experienced Reggie Bush and Marques Colston, last years surprise rookie. With the help of a stellar offensive line and the trust of his teammates, Brees should put huge numbers again in 2007.

His stats include:

  • 4,418 Passing Yards
  • 26 Touchdowns
  • 11 Interceptions
  • 32 Rushing Yards

3. Carson Palmer, Cincinnati Bengals

Carson was second in the league in touchdown passes and also threw for over 4,000 yards. With one of the best groups of receivers in the league and a good running game to back him up, Carson should again bring the strong air attack back in 2007.

His stats include:

  • 4,035 Passing Yards
  • 28 Touchdowns
  • 13 Interceptions
  • 26 Rushing Yards

4. Jon Kitna, Detroit Lions

I know what you are thinking; Jon Kitna? Well, he not only had a huge year last year (4,208 passing yards) but he now has another big tool coming his way; Calvin Johnson. Johnson, along with Roy Williams will give Kitna every opportunity to air the ball out and with the exciting running back Tatum Bell joining the group, it can only mean another great year.

His stats include:

  • 4,208 Passing Yards
  • 21 Touchdowns
  • 22 Interceptions
  • 156 Rushing Yards

5. Marc Bulger, St. Louis Rams

Bulger is one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the league and one of the most consistent. Running back Stephen Jackson led all running backs in receiving yards and star wide outs Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce looked as good as ever last year. With an up tempo style offense like the Rams, Bulger should be a great pick in this years fantasy draft.

His stats include:

  • 4,301 Passing Yards
  • 24 Touchdowns
  • 8 Interceptions
  • 44 Rushing Yards

6. Tom Brady, New England Patriots

Brady could take high school players and throw for 200+ yards. Add Randy Moss to the mix and he should put up huge numbers. Brady's numbers were down a bit last year from what they had been, but with an improved receiving unit this year, we should see his numbers rise.

His stats include:

  • 3,529 Passing Yards
  • 24 Touchdowns
  • 12 Interceptions
  • 102 Rushing Yards

7. Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys

Romo not only took over the starting quarterback position last year, but he also made it to the pro bowl. Looking forward to this season, Romo should be more comfortable in his position and with Terrell Owens and speedster Terry Glenn still catching balls, everything looks to be intact. I recommend taking him in a later round.

His stats include:

  • 2,903 Passing Yards
  • 19 Touchdowns
  • 13 Interceptions
  • 102 Rushing Yards

8. Donovan McNabb, Philadelphia Eagles

Again I know what you are thinking; How can Romo and Kitna be put before McNabb? Well, McNabb has missed at least 6 games in each of the last two years and hasn't played a full season in over three. If he stays healthy, he's one of the top three but with his injury history, I wouldn't take the chance unless it was after round three.

9. Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburg Steelers

Big Ben should be completely healthy this season (last season he was hampered due to a motorcycle accident) and ready to lead a good offensive Steelers squad this year. He enters the season with his favorite target, the sure handed Hines Ward, healthy as well. Also, speedy Santonio Holmes and the quick tight end Heath Miller are ready to go, so Ben should have big numbers this year.

His stats include:

  • 3,513 Passing Yards
  • 18 Touchdowns
  • 23 Interceptions
  • 280 Rushing Yards

10. Jake Delhomme, Carolina Panthers

Delhomme's numbers were down last year, but that is mainly due to Steve Smith being injured and Carolina having virtually no running attack. This year, Delhomme is injury free, as is Steve Smith, and with new star wide out Dwayne Jarrett joining the group, the sky is the limit for Delhomme. He could easily become the steal of this year's draft.
