The Sims What?

A critique of the ever so popular "The Sims" series.

Ever since I started living my own life, I've been trapped into the idea of playing "The Sims" but I guess time... and unfortunately, hardware didn't allow me to. When I finally got my Sims game when I was 11, I had high hopes that it would be one of those really high end artificial intelligence games. Instead of wowing myself and having fun for months as others have predicted, I only lasted 4 hours before I finally turned the monitor off and said "well...that was boring." It was fun for the first 2 hours but I guess it didn't build me up to a climax. I was so disappointed because I even saved my month savings for that game and I felt that it was a rip-off. Every expansion pack of it's series kept me hoping for more but I ended up being more disappointed than the previous.

I mean, sure it has  it's share of antics that made me laugh but, other than that, what is really the sense of playing this game? "The Sims2" finally came out into the market and I was so amazed to see that the graphics have been well constructed but again... the flow of the game made me more bored than ever. Even it's expansion pack tempted me to buy it but I finally said no. I won't waste my money with this again. I have had enough. After a year though, "The Sims Castaway" for the PSP came out and got me all curious. I wanted to know if it they even made it more user friendly. I immediately downloaded it and played. Again, the graphics were mazing but, the interface and navigation made it hard for me to play since it still had so many bugs. It even took me 2 hours to find the entrance to go inside the jungle to find food for my sim.

Overall, I would not reccomend other people toplay this game. Instead of relieving stress, you'll end up more stressed than when you even began. I hope that EA games put more adventurous interactivity into the game and surprise it's many crazed supporters and not just create the same game with better graphics.

i don't think i don't want to get hooked on this. i have a friend who's so much into this... this is all she talks about. i guess for her she gets to bring out her dreams and maybe her frustrations in her own "SIMs" world.
