Adding Pets to Your Home

Tamagochi was a popular pets simlation in 90's. But with The Sims 2 Pets you will be able to integrate your life and your pets life.

With The Sims 2 Pets you can have cat, dog, rabbit in your home. You can also create your own custom pet in this upcoming expansion pack.

You will have the choice of adding dogs, cats, birds or guinea pigs to their virtual homestead. Not only are there dozens of cat and dog breeds to choose from, but you can also create your own custom pet right down to the paws and personality.

You will be responsible to your pet's behaviour. You will be able to teach their pets tricks and how to behave. But remember your pet will not always obey you. Wild pets can knock over the trash, dig holes in the backyard and rip through the furniture if they’re not trained properly.

The Sims 2 Pets has different features for different systems. In PC version your pet will be able to have careers of their very own and bring home the bacon just like their owners. Your pet can become a movie star, or become a member of pilice corps. Pets can also be genetically altered to make designer pets in the PC expansion.

The GameCube, Playstation 2 and PSP versions will include Central Town Park. Pets can play while Sims meet and mingle with other Sims. There’s also an adjoining Town Center where you can customize your pet’s clothing and accessories. You can also unlock new pets and show off your creations by giving your friends a special code.

Nintendo DS players will be able to create and manage a pet care center. Treating your pets with tender loving care in the centers will allow players to unlock special items. Players will be able to create and control pet shops and help other Sims pick out pets as well as clothes and accessories.

Finally, the Game Boy Advance version will include a mode where your Sim can become a pet trainer, a veterinarian and more. Players will also be able to enter their pets into pet shows.

The Sims 2 Pets is scheduled to ship October 17th for the PC, PS2, GBA, and the Nintendo DS. The PSP version will be available in November.
