I have been going into the online area of guitar hero ever since I beat easy.
It does have many benefits, which really makes the PS2 version suck.
You know, since in guitar hero 3 you have to grow in leaps and bounds in order to make it through career. you might as well have fun getting through each milestone. One could literally start by failing on easy to 5starring on expert only using the online portition. Not easy, but possible. And of course it's what you do after destroying the main game in expert.
But onto my main point-there are some true morons on the online section, and I think everybody needs to follow these guidelines for a fair battleground.
- When battlling and you want a FAIR battle(within one difficulty level) then you should keep going over the two choices the other person should follow. If you can't play what the other person is saying, try to get close
- When picking a song, pick all but one of your songs. If they object they should go back a screen after the offending song. This doesn't mean anyone should force songs, but if your battling a 7 song battle, then its reasonable to not go down a whole level just for TTFAF.
- Get to the game already! Don't take 10 minutes to set up! Know who you use and what they wear. Mine is Axel Steel wearing normal cxlothes and a Kramer Fathead Cherry.
- You fail mine I fail yours. If we're playing co-op and you fail my song, then i get to fail yours. Does not apply to when its at the end of a song(last 25%.
- Don't start a match and quit after your song. That's why there's the option for only one song.
- And don't quit if they don't pick any songs you like or only pick the one you hate. I explained what to do with over 1 song, and if you enter a 1 song battle/faceoff, you know what your getting into. It takes a couple minutes to set up something and get a partner, so don't ruin it.
- No expert-slaying! This is where youy play on easy and the opponent is on expert in a battle. Allows for a really easy win.
- Don't quit cause you bored! The other person wants a match. Nobody cares if your too better or worse; the odds of a perfect match are very slim.
If everybody could follow simple rules, like these, then it'd be much more fun to go online as opposed to playing Monsters 500 times until you 5-star it.
