World of Warcraft - Friend or Foe?

You will decide.

As probably a good 60-75% of the world's population knows, World of Warcraft is a big and addictive game. Though it gives many people something to do in their spare time, is it just too much? I used to play WoW and was and addict for a while. After a certain point, I realized that I could have been doing better things, so I quit.

Sadly, all of my friends are still consumed with this game. It has gotten to a point where we can't even hang out anymore because they're too busy raiding or farming mobs. I think that people just need to get a grasp on themselves, stop wasting their money, and stop wasting their life. So tell me this, is WoW a friend or a foe?

The game itself isn't an addiction to me anymore. I play when I am bored of more involving games just as Halo 2 or runescape.

Look, there's nothing wrong with playing WoW. I'm sorry some people are addicted but nobody really cares! If they're enjoying WoW then it's not a waste of money, but playing just because they're addicted IS a waste. The average human will waste 11 years of their life on TV anyway, so why not play WoW?
