You can't do it, I promise.
The idea came to me while I was fooling around with WorldEdit, decreasing my Paladin Hero's cooldown time and giving him level 1 Starfall along with his default abilities. I snickered at how my hero would soon take on a whole ogre army alone, and then...
A raging fever of curiosity consumed me at once, and I tried it on varying opponents.
- Worker against worker (peasant, wisp, etc.) No, didn't work. Maybe because they're weak?
- Land units against the same (machines included) No, either.
- Aquatic units against the same(vessels included)C-c-can't!
- Aerial units against the same (units in all races) Goodluck to me.
- (ehem!) Hero against Hero. (all races) Woah! Can't either!
- Hero against units. This is getting weird. Just that simple thing?!!
- Hero against critters. Damn!
It was impossible, unless when you probably alter the program itself. And it was funny because Warcraft is a game of strength and strategy. Here's my personal experiment to finally unveil the one thing you can't do in Warcraft.
I pitted my powerful Paladin Hero, with +46 in strength, -1 cooldown time (which meant he could hit twice for every hit of an opponent), and 10 in armor, against a peasant, and tried to push it.
It was also sobering, because it means even the weakest unit in Warcraft will die on it's feet because it cannot be pushed when it decides not to run away. Amazing, isn't it? I'd like to see that in real life.
Uh-oh, did I hear feet running to their computers? Well go on, I dare you to try it.
