World of Wacraft didn't originate from ground zero. No, world of warcraft had it's way paved by the lead up game, the normal warcraft series. Which of course, if you all know, was an rts, real time strategy game. This was just another one of blizzard's amazing games, but in 2005 (I remember the day when it happened) World of warcraft was released, and was an instant hit. Not only did it throw off any oposition such as everquest, but it also became an obsession of many, a growing obsession. This demanded blizzard to improve the game as fast as they could to meet the needs of the gamers out there.
The game offers simple minded graphics, that are pleasant, and playable on pretty modest computer systems. Many people started borrowing from the World of warcraft model, and called themselves “wow killers”…no one could pull it off. Although many don't play the game due to the monthly payments, there are private servers that allow you to play for free, for ever, all you have to do is tweak some of the game files (only one file) and you can play with people who want fun for free. The loot, the world, the adventure, and the friends, all make this game worth playing, give it a chance, plus there is a way to play for 100% free, ( look up “beyond WOW” on google), hate or love it, it's a great mmo.
