One of the best loved games of all kind is Final fantasy. Many have played the series for countless years now and it has a strong fan base.
One would think the reason why it's so successful is because it has its own style. It lure's the fans into each game, and at the same time it captures our imagination. We become one with the character and what that one character can do or it could be more than one character.
It's best described as the perfect book with pictures. Moving pictures and the awe it gives its fans.
As a fan my self, I picked up the newer game and had the same style as any Final fantasy game has. But I was also disappointed all at the same time since the fighting style was more like Devil May Cry.
Free style isn't what final fantasy is, it's a lot more of a strategy game were the player has to figure out what to beat the bad men.
With each game and one of the best franchises around, one would think that the people that make sure great games would leave them alone. It isn't broken but I do understand the need to branch out a little or slightly change the flow of things.
Take a look at the other games that has the same style, Legend of Dragoon. Wild Arms and there are others that fit with a true RPG game.
All these games are loved in their own way, some more than others but they are still loved. Gamers know what it is like to be captured by such awesome games the companies have made over the years.
Years ago someone announced that Dragoon was going to have a sequel but it never happened. But other games were made and the sequel was forgotten in time.
My whole point in all of this is… these games that I mention are in our hearts for a reason.
The reason some of us won't let go to our childish ways is because we're holding onto our past. We grew up on them and to this day men and women alike still play.
I find time out of my busy day just to play an RPG game. Either if it is only half an hour to an hour.
We all smile since it is pure entertainment, but there are some people that think our games should be band for good. Will we let them take away our fun, the likely hood of our future and our children's? I wouldn't trade up any game for love.
As a gamer we will thrive and bring in a better world.
