Overview
I have been playing Silkroad for awhile now and I have played many different characters. But no character can compare to the power of the Pure Strength Fire Blader. This is the powerhouse of the game. It dominates PvP and PvM. The reason I chose this over the glaive is simply because of the use of the shield. The use of the shield and the passive shield skill allows the blader to almost never be hit.
Stats
This is pretty simple. All 3 stats will go into strength.
Equipment
Of course we will go with the best blade you can buy. Preferable get SOS as soon as possible. For armor, I would go with protector. Most new people think that armor is for pure str, protector is for hybrid, and garment is for pure int. I find this to be a myth. Armor is the worst armor because it gives no speed boost. Protector however gives 10% and still relatively provides good defense. Garment is definitely a no-no since it is more for magical protection and should only be utilized when in the higher levels (45+). I also find that armor does not need to be SOS until higher levels. Buying SOS at early levels will drain you of your earned cash.
Skills
Bicheon Skill Tree:
Strike and Smash Skill (Max)-Useful only until you get the chain sword attack book. So just max this only.
Chain Sword Attack Series (Max)-Get all of these skills and max them as soon as possible! This will be your most used skill along with your fire skills.
Hidden Blade Series (Max)-Another important series. Knocks down your opponent and allows you to attack while the monster is down.
Killing Heaven Blade Series (Max)-Since we are learning the Hidden Blade Series, we must learn this series since this will provide you with the ability to attack while the monster is down.
Sword Dance Series (Max)- Lets you attack multiple monsters at once. Amazing skill combined with fire imbues.
Shield Protection Skill (Passive/Max)-Increases your block percentage. Essential for all shield users.
Shield Technique Series (Optional)- Extra block. Get only if have extra sp or you don't mind farming for more sp.
Blade Force Series (Optional)- Once again only get if you have extra sp. Useful for luring monsters to you instead of chasing one down.

Fire Force Skill Tree:
Fire Force Series (Max)- The dot effect will be a nice touch as you attack your enemies and you'll definitely notice a power increase as you get higher level imbues.
Fire Shield Series (Max)-Even though you can use pills, this goes great along w/ them. At higher levels more monsters use effect status skills (Plus players), having this automatically decreases your effects, it is a must.
Flame Body Series (Max)- Keeping that attack up.
Fire Protection Series (Max)- Magic defensive is a must with this build, since you'll lack it.
Flame Devil Skill (Passive/Max)- More power anyone?

Skill Points
The above number looks high right? It won't be a problem just keep your skill gap 2-3 levels and you won't run low on skill points.
Job
You can really do anything as this build. Trader will give you the power to protect yourself. Hunter will also allow you to defeat thieves easier. And a thief will give you the power to ignore weak hunters feeble attacks.
Summary
With further testing I will be able to find a perfect build. However I live with this one comfortably. When finding builds, only use them as a guideline. Which means don't follow this build completely. Use some skill points on lighting for speed and some skill points on force for healing and resurrection.
