Side-step: Survivability at its best, this trait will give +3% to your evade plus increase your agility as line bonus. You will get this trait after evaded your enemy attacks for 1250 times.

Focused Eye: with this trait, cool down time on aim is now 1 minute plus it give you +1% crit on burglar skills as line bonus. You will get this trait after used aim for 750 times. This is a great trait for soloing, especially when fighting higher level mobs and the big crit at your opening is the difference between killing cleanly and just squeeking by. While mainly grouping, big openers mean big hate before the tank has a handle on the situation.

Perplexing Riddle : You will get this trait after used riddle for 200 times. It will increase the effect of your riddle, and is a must for a PUGs. When in a bad pull and the mobs get to you before you can riddle one away from the pack, it gives the tank a small window to get focus on a mob that is not mezzed. While soloing it is great for a stun-lock combo with startling-twist and any of your conjunction starters or stun-dust. This trait will also increase you agility by 10 as a line bonus.

Trickster: With this trait your trick dust in the eyes, is now an AOE. You will get this trait after used dust in the eyes for 1000 times. It also give line bonus +2% healing and +1 tick on Mischievous Glee. This is a great trait for PUGs filled with champs who go AoE crazy sometimes. It is also good for solo multiple mobs especially when they are non-mezzable.

Disabling Attack : With this trait, disable now decreases targets attack speed and damage by 20%. You will get this trait after used disable 600 times and it will also give line bonus +2% healing and +1 tick on Mischievous Glee. Disable gives two 15% reductions making the mob do only 85% * 85% = 72.25% of their original damage. Disable + Disabling Attack gives two 20% reductions making the mob do only 80% * 80% = 64% of their original damage. So, this trait makes disable about 8.25% more effective.

Blind Fury: When you Enrage your foes, they are likely to engage you in melee combat. You should enrage against your enemies for 400 times in order to get this trait. This trait will also give you line bonus +2% Healing and +1 tick on Mischievous Glee. This trait is very useful for pulling mobs off of the healer, stunning the mobs with twisting strike, and then hoping the off-tank comes and saves you before your touch and go wears off.

Burglar Build

Burglar is usually associated with a rogue, an agility based character. Because of that, a burglar should be hard to hit. If you want to build a character that hard to be hit, you should try to combine side step, perplexing riddle, overwhelming odds, appraising eye and disabling attack.

All of these traits will increase your agility. The line bonus give you the most agility possible which will improve both evade and parry percentages. Disabling attack adds in for a 5% less mob attacks. Perplexing Riddle gives you the nice stun on humanoid mobs that can't be blocked by stun-immunity. Add this to our two other stun skills, and some stun-dust, you wont be taking many hits.

Do not forget that a burglar is a stealthy character, and that is a great advantage for a DMG. Try to combine strike from shadows, lead walker, hidden dagger, footpad and side-step/ ambidextrous/ focused eye. Those traits gives a total of +12% to the positional multiplier bringing it up to 27%. A good build for short fights where the big opener will out way sustained DPS, group fights where the tank is taking all the hits and you can sit behind the mob and whack away.

If you want to play as a solo burglar, try to combine side step, ambidextrous, perplexing riddle, footpad and leaf walker. This build gives some nice sneak bonuses to get into higher level areas without being attacked by every group of enemy is coming out. Perplexing Riddle for the stun-lock sequence. Ambidextrous is important since it is the biggest DPS increase per trait. Side-step is essential for survivability.

Burglars Legendary Traits

These legendary books are dropped randomly in 39+ level areas which are Trollshaws, Misty Mountains and Angmar. They give an accomplishment to achieve in your class tab in accomplishments (shift + L) to talk to someone related to your class. The first 4 pages can be recovered from Hillmen around Donnvail in Fasach-Falroid, Angmar. The last 4 pages can be found from Blogmal Orcs at Rammas Deluos in center of Thorhad along the dread statues, Angmar. The last 4 pages also dropped by Ongburz Skirmishers in Gorothlad.

Exposed throat can be gained by completing the Expert's guide to dirty fighting. This trait will give you the 4th conjunction starter. You will be asked to find the 4th, 5th, 7th, 12th, 15th, 19th, 24th, and 28th page of the Expert's guide to dirty fighting. These pages are randomly dropped from level 39th or higher Humanoid mobs, known drops from Goblins in the camp at Western Malenhad, Angmar and Trolls in Trollshaws.
