In this article I will explain to you the basic knowledge about burglar race, trait and legendary trait. I divide this article into four sections, at the first section you will find the comparison between man and hobbit, their advantages and disadvantages. In the second section I will give you the complete list of burglar traits, their effects, how to get them and some explanation how o use them. At the third section I will explain how to combine these traits in order to build your burglar. And at the last section I will explain about burglar legendary traits, their effects, and how to get them.

Race

It is often debated whether human or hobbit is better to become a burglar. Basically both races have their own advantage. For example a human has 3000 morale heal as a trait. Hobbits are also has several unique abilities such as hide in plain sight and hobbit silence to shed all mobs off you.

The best race to choose, is really depends whether your are a PvP'er or a PvE'r. I will suggest a human if you are a PvP'er and a hobbit if you are a PvE'r.

Burglar Trait

Ambidextrous: This trait is very important if you try to maximize DPS. Ambidextrous will increases your off-hand damage by 15% you will get this trait after completed level 15 class quest. It will also give line bonus, +1% critical on burglar skills.

Appraising Eye: For the solo burglar that always has appraising eye on his target, this trait is the equivalent of 60 might, DPS wise. This trait is very useful if you play without a healer. Mobs will die faster and the tank will takes less damage. This trait will increase the targets vulnerability by 10%. You will gain this trait after completed level 30 class quest. This trait also Increases your agility by 10 as a line bonus.

Cunning Wound : This trait works well for dagger wielding burglars who prefer bleed-bleed openings to surprise strike openings. It is also great for PUGS if the tanks ability is questionable. Opening with a bleed-bleed while in a group will not give you immediate aggro, and will make the tanks job much easier. This trait will increase the cunning Attack-DoT by about 25%. You will get this trait after use your cunning attack for 500 times. This trait also give +1% crit on your burglar skills as a line bonus.

Swift and Subtle: This trait will increase your subtle stab by 10% and you will get this trait after use subtle stab for 1,250 times. This trait will also give you +1% crit on burglar skills. For lower level burglars this trait might seem like a decent increase to DPS. However, there are much better traits to fill up the limited slots.

Hidden Dagger: This trait will give -5% to targets defense and increases your hit chance on stealth attacks, it is also give +3% positional damage multiplier. You will get this trait after use your special stealth attacks for 300 times. This trait would not be worth the slot if not for the line bonus. With the line bonus, it becomes useful for the burglar who is optimizing his build for long boss fights when positional multiplier is the most useful, or for the burglar who is trying to make his aim + rw +SS hit as big as possible.

Leaf Walker : This trait will increase your movement speed while sneaking, and it is also give +3% positional damage multiplier. You will get this trait after use hide in plain sight for 250 times. This trait is great, moving faster while sneaking means less hunters taking your kills, less chance that mobs will spot you while sneaking, and less time in slow by mode.

Opportunist: This trait is very useful if you trying to maximize your crits. With this trait counter defense now adds 6% to targets critical strike vulnerability, and ou will get this trait after used counter defense for 350 times. This trait also give +2% healing and +1 tick on Mischievous Glee as line bonus.

Overwhelming Odds : Applies a self buff after finishing a conjunction. You will get this trait after executed conjunctions for 150 times. This trait will also increase your agility by 10.

This trait work very well for a solo burglar who try to sneak into higher level areas and completed fellowship quest where non-other class dare tread. You will get this trait after used diversion for 500 times.
