What makes this game so amazing to me is how Creative Assembly (the creator of the game) blends Role-Playing and Real-Time Strategy. During game play, it is separated into two types of play there is the “Strategy Map” and “Battle Map”. The strategy map is where you control your provinces, build advanced buildings for your city (usually cities), improve ways to earn money, move your armies, and tons of other things. When battle is commenced on the strategy map the game switches to the battle map.
Now, the game has turned from role-playing to real-time strategy. This is where the action truly takes place. The battle map is where you control your units in real-time. The graphics are just stunning and the realism is too hard to describe.
If I had heard is correct, there can be nearly 30,000 thousand soldiers on the map. Unfortunately, my PC can only play a max of 6,000 soldiers a fifth of 30,000 and yet, I'm unusually satisfied with the numbers. Anyways, the game places you as a general with a bird's eye sort of view of the battlefield you can turn the camera 360 degrees or possibly zoom in to the point where you can see individual soldiers fighting the enemy.
I'm afraid I can't tell more otherwise my report will be very, very long. The only way to understand what I'm saying is to get the game yourself or check it out.
Pros:
- An amazing game with 3D soldiers
- Highly Addictive game play
- Unusually Realistic
Cons:
- Need a VERY good computer to enjoy it at its fullest
- Has some bugs to fix
