Everyone has seen three of the biggest games online being played or they have even played the games themselves, World of Warcraft, Maple story and Runescape. All three games are massively multi player online role playing games or MMORPG's but they have their similarities and differences. But the question is, which game is the best and which game is the worst? Comparing the three games together, by looks you can definitely say that World of Warcraft has the most “eye candy” as the 3D graphics are incredible in the game and in runescape the graphics are..well not as good. Comparing WoW's insane 3D graphics to runescape's vile 3D and maple story's “ok” 2D graphics WoW rules these two games right out of the competition.
So graphic wise WoW blows all competition out of the water while the other two can't even compare. The biggest argument to WoW is the 12-15 dollars a month you have to pay for the game, now while it is a very good game 12 or 15 dollars is a little over budget for some teens and their families. Parents are not willing to pay 12-15 dollars for a 20 dollar game per month which adds up to more than 150 dollars a month! Now on the other hand Runescape, an MMO from Jagex Ltd only costs kids 7.95 per month to play (which is still over the top for a game like RS) but the price is still better than WoW's. Still comparing to the two other games, Maple story is a free for life game and the only thing that costs money are the “cash items” in the game which aren't even necessary to speak. A free game is always better than a game you have to pay for so maple story wins in the price category.
Going to the memory category, to start off WoW is a 20 dollar game that you can buy from basically any gaming store that you load onto your computer. But WoW is not a small game at all, taking up over 1K MB it can slow down a computer a little bit. Maple story is a game that you download off of the internet that takes up around 512 MB even this amount of memory can slow down a computer a little even. Now on the other hand Runescape is an online game that you play right off of a web page for free and at no cost of memory unless you download the client to play the game “off-line” so to speak. Still even after the client download Runescape only takes up a whopping 1 MB of space, which won't even touch the speed of a CPU.
So in the memory category Runescape takes the competition. Each game has won itself an “award” with WoW winning the graphics category, Maple story winning the price category and Runescape winning the memory category but the debate over the three games still stands, so which game do you think is the best and why?
