Jobs
Personally, I prefer a bandit, bowman, or a warrior. Magicians are good at lower levels but when you start getting higher their attacks sucks and gets boring easily. Sins are really boring since you use lucky seven until the fourth job. Now as for 2nd jobs, it doesn't really matter which one you choose for bowman because both of them are like the same. For a warrior I suggest either a crusader or a dragon knight. I believe they are much cooler, have better skills and stronger.
Equips
I suggest not buying a lot of armor but instead use the money on stronger weapons. Spend money only on good armor. If an armor only adds defense, don't buy it. But, let's say you're a warrior and the armor adds a few strength or dexterity I would maybe buy it and keep it for 15 levels. If you don't have a lot of money just buy a pretty good glove or boot and keep it for a long time. Since boots and gloves' stats doesn't increase buy a lot it doesn't matter.
Pots
Don't buy pots that fill you up the whole way. A red pot costs 50 mesos and heals 50 but, and orange pot costs more than 150 and heals 150. Thus, you should buy pots that fill about 1/3 of you health or mana.
Places to Train
- 1-8:Maple Island
- 8-15:Hennesys
- 15-18:Kerning (orange mush)
- 18-23:Sleepywood or Ellinia (green mush)
- 23-30:Sleepywood (horny mush)
- 30-38:Perion (fire boar) or Orbis (kitties)
- 38-45:Sleepywood (cold eye and drake)
- 45-55:Florina Beach (clang and lorang)
- 55-65:Ludibrium (clock tower)
- 65-70:El Nath (anything, just to be close to 3rd job's first step)
After the 3rd job I really can't help you because I haven't made enough accounts to figure out the best places to train.
Monster Drops
All the equips you find that are above level 40 I suggest you keep and sell, with the exception of some low level items. Pots, stars, scrolls and some etc's you should keep. Most etc's you can just dump or sell to shops.
Quests
Do as many quests as you can, they add interest to the game and can give you great rewards and help you level up. If you ever get stuck on quests or have no idea where to start them go to for help.
