MMORPG List: Eight Free Anime Mmorpgs

Are you a fan of massively multiplayer online games? And what about anime? If so, you might want to check out these free anime MMORPG.

Here's a list of some free anime MMORPGs for all anime and/or MMORPG fans.

Mabinogi - Fantasy life

Official site

Mabinogi in Wikipedia

Staring with the list, I introduce you “Mabinogi”! A 3D MMORPG with beautiful anime cell-shaded graphics.

Mabinogi features a unique combat system, which requires strategic and reflexes, predicting the enemy's moves, and making use of any offensive or defensive skills is crucial to survive.

You are not limited to any class. You may train any skill you like and be a swordsman, archer, mage, magic swordsman or whatever. The combination of skill training is what makes the character.

Mabinogi also features a wide range of skills, for example, fighting skills, magic spells, woodcutting, cooking, fishing, first aid, potion making etc. But from all those, Mabinogi features 2 very unique skills: composing and instrument playing… meaning you can create your very own music and play it on an instrument so other players can hear them.

At the moment, the English version of Mabinogi is only available for North America, but I think we can expect a global version in near future.

Scions of Fate

Official site

Scions of Fate in Wikipedia

Here's another free anime MMORPG you might want to check out.

“Scions of fate” (“yulgang” in the Japanese version) features 3D graphics. You start by choosing a faction: “the order” or “the chaos”. Each faction has their characters own looks, and clothing styles, so you may tell the factions apart.

Then choose a class from the 5 available: Swordsman, Bladesman, Archer, Healer and Spearman.

Kill monsters, do quests, battle other faction players, join parties.

You can also have pets that help you fight other creatures, you can equip your pet with clothes and accessories and some pets are also mountable.

Fly For Fun

Official site

Fly For Fun in Wikipedia

A much known 3D anime MMORPG; maybe because of it's unique feature that lets you fly freely around the world on things such as flying boards or broomsticks once you reach level 20.

You start as a vagrant, and, as you progress, you can choose to which class you can be next, for example, at level 15 you may choose a class from four available, if you choose a mercenary at level 15, at level 60 you can choose to be a knight or a blade, its like a class promotion.

Do quests, level up and battle monsters on the ground… or in the air!

This game also lets you have pets, whose eggs you can acquire from monster drops.

Dream of Mirror

Official site

Dream of Mirror in Wikipedia

Dream of Mirror Online (DOMO) is a social MMORPG styled after ancient Chinese mythology with 3D graphics.

You start off by choosing a race from four available; classes come after level 10 in the form of professions, which you can change anytime in a town. Professions include a Blademaster, Martial Artist, Wizard and Musician.

Like “fly for fun” you also have the ability to fly freely in the air. Launch your weapon in the air, board it and fly to wherever you want!

Trickster Revolution

Official site

Trickster in Wikipedia

Trickster is another free anime MMORPG; this one has 2D isometric graphics (method of visually representing three-dimensional objects in two dimensions).

It's basically a point and click game, but fun for those who like RPGs of this type and for those who like those “cute anime styled” graphics.

Graphics are very colourfully and …sparkling (most of the time you see little lights sparking around the screen as shown on the demonstration video). The party-system is kind off unique, as it gives you more exp per monster if you are in one

You can also have pets, do typical MMORPG stuff and one unique feature is card battling where you can battle other players with cards gained by various means in the game.

Tales of Pirates

Official site

Tales of Pirates in Wikipedia

Tales of Pirates is a 3D MMORPG based on 5000 years of background history with Piracy as its central them, with a comical side and humorous looking characters.

Choose a character and edit it, choose and basic class, and advance it as you progress though the game. Join parties, do quests, explore dungeons…

One of its main features, is that, after a certain level, you are able to build you own ship explore the seas, and battle other ships.

Fiesta Online

Official site

Fiesta Online in Wikipedia

Another free 3D anime MMORPG and, like a typical MMORPG, the player's character can adventure across the game's persistent online world, battle monsters, level up, raise stats, complete quests, and party with other players. There are also guilds and guild wars, instanced raid dungeons and item crafting options.

In some towns there are special places where you can PVP, and some areas are level restricted, to make PVP fair.

There are three kinds of skills: active (combat, usable skills), passive (boost specific attributes) , and life skills such as mining, mount riding and item crafting.

Nostale

Official site

Nostale in Wikipedia

A free MMORPG with “cute-styled” anime graphics.

The game has all the things a typical MMORPG should have. Has 4 classes to choose from, and lots of unique stuff.

You can have your very own mini land where you can decorate it with a house, lamp post, trees… which your friends can visit.

You can also own pets that help you do quests and “nosmates” which is an NPC that you can equip with weapons and armour.

And that's all; hope you are satisfied with the list. I know there's plenty more anime MMORPG's out there, but I just pointed out these eight.

You are free to comment, leave suggestions, more MMORPG's you may know, etc.

Cheers.

that may be the case in Rose but in my own opinion a lot of the p2p games are going f2p because the item mall brings in more money than subscriptions.
