This title from ArenaNet and NcSoft is a great break from the traditional MMORPG. With the game's lack of monthly fees and great PVP system it's
definitely something that you might want to check out.
You start off either in Shing yea Monastery, Kamadan, or Ascalon City. This depends on which game you
start your character on. You will start to dive into the main story and soon start leveling up and gaining strength. You will gain many new skills as you go
along with the game. It is very important that you try to maintain a good strategy with your skills because you can only carry eight skills at a time.
Each class has his or own part to play in the games main strategy system. You will keep going through the story until you reach level 20. Level 20 is the
maximum level for your characters in this game. Many would be upset with that and complain about how it is too short of a level cap, although Guild Wars is not
your common MMORPG.
In Guild Wars, you worry more about your strategy and weapons working with your skill setup than your level. This makes for
a great PVP system. Guild Wars has a decently long story, though if you do all the side quests it would take you hundreds of hours more. If you have noticed
by the title, Guild Wars was first st; though if you just like to play and go around doing
PvE, then you're in luck. Guild Wars has a full blown story and main quests to complete. It will take you some time to get some nice looking armor and then
you can start to do other little side things with your guild or whatever.
You can easily squeeze hundreds of hours of game play into this game. So, if you're
looking for a getaway from the normal MMORPG, then definitely pick this one up.
