When I was starting in Flyff, I really hated the killers. Who actually do like them? There was a time when I was all alone in a solitary place and trying to level up, and then someone asked me in a very polite tone. “Excuse me, have you seen a Trainer?” Then, I answered back, “No.” He suddenly slashed my character to death. My mage wasn’t able to cast a single spell. He was a high level character.
Another story would be, when I came out of a cave, I let my character sit down while I will be using the CR. When I returned, an offender was hitting my character. It really took time to kill my mage because he/she has a lower level than me. I tried to cast but it was too late and he or she became a killer already. My hatred for killers grew then.
There were still other stories. Some I already forgot. But something different happened one night when a mercenary asked me for a duel. I refused but he was persistent. So I agreed because I would likely win. Think about it, Mage vs. Mercenary. He asked me to hit first and I did, and he was dead after two seconds. Suddenly I was a killer. I didn’t know if he really tricked me or he was just lame. I panicked, I can’t fly, can’t use the mailbox, it was depressing (for a newbie). So I logged out and researched quickly and soon I learned that my character is just safe. After logging back in, someone found and killed my mage. That was a relief. Maybe he was expecting a drop, but there was none of course.
After being a killer for some minutes, I became less rough on them.
