This game is probably the best free MMORPG by far. The major thing that drags the game down the charts is that it is limited only to players in certain countries.
Anyway, the game is a great success because:
- Amazing graphics
- Great game play
These are probably the main things needed for a good game
The graphics are amazing, unlike most games, it's not made out of straight lines and triangles (Like Runescape). It is more realistic and more eye catching. The skills that are used are actually visible. What I mean by this is that, if I shoot a Fire Lance, it will actually appear as a lance that is Red and glowing colour. If I freeze the opponents Ice will form on their feet and freeze them on their tracks, disabling them to use close combat.
The moves are dazzling and amazing, it's a one of a kind system of it's own. No other game has mastered it perfectly.
The game play is great as well. With 6 different classes
- Warrior - Shield and Sword bearer. Like in most games. It is a overall in offence and defence. Great for beginners.
- Wizard - One who masters Wind, Water, Fire, Thunder, Ice and Earth to smite and kill their opponents.
- Blader - The most quickest of the quickest, wielding twin swords to slice their opponents.
- Force Blader - Sword and Shields generated from crystals, lacks in armour but stronger than the average blader.
- Force Archer - Bow and Arrows generated from orbs, very strong in range, VERY weak in close combat.
- Force Shielder - Shield and Sword, best of the best in defence and above average in strength.
Each with their own set of skills (Some are shared).
Another unique system is the Battle and Aura modes
Battle mode enables you to chain as many skills as possible without the obstacle of MP usage. As long as you use the skills in the right time, you can gain a hell lot of skill exp.
Aura mode raises your attributes in a period of time.
Cabal has the most amazing battle system and animation. Using a skill looks as though you could knock the day lights out of anyone. Instead of using skills and having simple normal attacking animation, they take it to the next level. Like I said before, the Fire Lance, is a red and glowing lance that is shot towards the opponent. Many of the more advanced skills are more better and complex looking.
In my opinion, CABAL is the best free MMORPG there is.
