This tip will save your "life" on Tradewars.
Don't talk to Strangers.

'Darth', a not particularly good player, makes up for
his flaws by engaging other players in conversation.
He is trying to break their concentration.
He can not win, so tries to get other players to
waste turns and lose.
Darth aspires to fool another player into trusting
him so he can join his corporation, (and gain access
to assets), or kill him.
(I'll deal with Corporations in another article).
Often a player, thinking "Darth" is his friend, will
leave himself in a tenuous position. Grasping
the chance, Darth, will destroy his ship and kill him,
if he can.
If unsuccessful, for example, the "Friend" has too
many fighters or shields, or Darth runs out of turns,
before the death blow, he will offer confused
explanations, hoping his "friend" will "understand."
If one is so naive as to believe Darth's
convoluted justification, he deserves to
be podded.
When you play Trade Wars, outside of a few generic
sentences, don't get caught up in chat unless you
have used all your turns and are in a safe area.
Don't allow anyone to join or a create a corporation
with you as a part unless you really know him.
If a "Darth" starts yammering to you, block calls.
You can always cover with a "I had all calls blocked"
which is true.
Many times a Darth will make threats he can not
fulfill. He might claim to have thirty thousand
fighters and will kill you unless you do....
ignore him.
If you are planet building, if you have Q cannons
and a Shielded planet, he will have a difficult
time killing you.
Don't believe that if you "befriend" him
he will not kill you.
He will kill you, and you, by befriending him,
have made it even easier.
