Full Strength Blade and Shield requires the Player to have a Blade and a Shield equipped along with all Stat points added to Strength. This is a very useful combination because :
- It allows the user to block numerous attacks, giving them more time to unleash devastating attacks
- It allows the user to deal moderately high damage quickly
- High amount of health meaning the user can last a lot longer than those of full intellect
However, it can be a let down because :
- The Blade will not deal as much damage as a glavie
- The shield may not block attacks, meaning that the reduced damage will not let you kill the enemy as quickly as intended, possibly even getting you killed if your shield has not got good block rating
- The user of full strength will have very little mana, meaning that numerous mana potions are required to use the skills
What am I looking for in Full Strength?
Full Strength is good for battling many monsters or players at a time, the damage may not be as great as a full intellect user but the amount of health allows you to deal more attacks.
How do I do this then?
If your going for a full strength Blade and Shield, you will need to create your character to begin with a blade. Go quest, kill, whatever you would like to do to level and add all stat points onto the stat STR. Hopefully a shield will drop for you when killing monsters, if not, you can always buy one.
What Item stats do I need to watch out for?
There are many stats that will aid you in battle, however, I believe the main ones will be :
- Phy Attack Power (Weapon) : The higher this stat is, the more damage your skills will be able to deal
- Critical (Weapon) : Critical is the second most important I believe, the higher the number of critical on your weapon, the more likely you are to deal a much more damaging blow to an enemy, with you being melee, this is a great boost.
- Phy Defence Power (Shield/Armour) : This reduces the amount of damage taken from Physical attacks
- Mag Defence Power (Shield/Armour) : This reduces the amount of damage taken from Magical attacks
- Blocking Ratio (Shield) : The higher the number on this stat is, the higher the chance that you will have of blocking an attack
- Any items with the STR Stat on (Blue Writing) will be very helpful!
They are the stats that I feel are most important for any Full Strength Blade and Shield user
What Armour am I using then?
In my time as a Blade and Shield user, I found garment was the best to use. This is because it reduces the mana cost of your skills, with the amount of mana a full strength character has, this is most important, not only should it save you money, it should also allow you to get more skills out before having to use a mana potion. It also reduces the amount of damage taker from magical skills a lot more than it does with physical ones.
What Skills do I get?
As you may know, there are many skills to choose from in Silkroad online, however, some skills will be more useful to you than others, I would suggest :
Bicheon Swordsmanship :
- Smashing Series (The First Bicheon Skills available)
- Blade Force Series (Knockdown Skills)
- Flower Blade Series (Skill after Knockdown)
- Shield Protection (Passive)
Fire Force Mastery :
- All the Imbue Skills of Fire
- The Skills in the Fire Shield Series
- The Skills of the Flame Body Series
- The Skills of the Fire Protection Series
- Flame Devil Force (Passive)
Lightning Force Mastery :
- The Skills of the Piercing Force
- The Skill of the Grass Walk Series
You may choose other skills if you wish, these are only the ones I suggest
