I am fairly new to this MMORPG business as I preferred to stay on my consoles rather than on my laptop, but having joined ogame I decided to look around for a new game. My other half stumbled upon an online game called Secret of the Solstice and not one to judge a book by its cover I decided to give it a go. After creating a username I was prompted to download the game which didn't take that long but for the first time starting the game you are taken through what seems like hours of updates. I will say though it is worth it once it is all over, everything plays out really nice and flows well. At the beginning you are taken to the Solstice guide I think and are given 10 quests to show you the ropes. It can be a bit boring but again worth it to get to level 10 as each quest ups your level by one.
Once the quests are over it's onward to the outside world where pink chubby animals and spiky balls can attack you, ok so it's not realistic but I thought we had shaken off realism when once you have killed an enemy it drops a potato for you. As you level new quests flash up on your screen to do and there is the option of forming a party which I quickly did with my partner. Being in a party levels you up faster but I couldn't see where I just kept hitting things with my sword of the earth. Classes can be chosen but you don't need to choose one I only chose then squire class because my quest involved me delivering a letter to the head of the fighter's guild.
The game is pretty much free range and quite enjoyable when you have nothing else to do, also if you have a few mates who enjoy MMORGPS then give Secret of the Solstice a try it might just surprise you.
