The final thing I will touch upon is player progress, in dragonfable, a player can do everything that can be done by having all the best weapons, being lvl 40 and having all the special armors and their moves unlocked as well as the maximum lvl in all of the skills, such as alchemy, smithing, and all the skills like strength and intelligence while in runescape, there are many skills that take time, patience and diligence to get to their maximum level, so on runescape, you are never really finished in any way because you have almost limitless inventory with a bank while on dragonfable you would have to pay dragon coins to get new inventory slots, Which brings me to my last detail, the cost… now, either game can be played for free, but which one has more to be gained from forking over some extra dough? Now there are 2 ways to look at it, in dragonfable, there is only a 1-time payment to buy a dragon amulet, but if you want to get the best weapons, you need to spend an extra 5$ for some dragon coins to buy them, while in runescape, you are charged 5$ a month, or more depending on which country you live in, and your method of payment.
Now at first glance you would almost instantly choose the 20$ dragon amulet, but think of this, 75% of runescape is p2p so all that you know about runescape's free player world is only one fourth, when dragonfable's dragon amulet will merely allow for around 20 or 30 new weapons, which is a lot for dragonfable, but hardly anything on runescape, most serious rs players would gladly spend 5$ a month for 75% more game, even though it would cost a whole 60$ a year, but in the long run, I'd say both are worth getting, although you are the one to decide. So in the end, the pros and cons come out like this:
Dragonfable looks while runescape looks chunky and pixel-ey
Runescape is 3d while dragonfable is flat but detailed
Runescape's overall looks aren't the best but the concept of combat is slightly more realistic
Runescape has a lot more game in it, but dragonfable has more easily noticed progress
Runescape takes time to get good, while dragonfable does too, but the maximum lvl and practical completion of the game (excluding further releases) is more easily acheiveable
Runescape has a lot more world to explore and more complicated quests.
Death in runescape could mean loss of millions, death in dragonfable could mean loss of…pride.
So, as always it is your decision, for f2p players the mysterious world that members walk in could remain a mystery to them in either games, and although I didn't mention this in the review I think Jagex would get they're behinds kicked by artix entertainment because what they have done to runescape recently, they might as well have jut blew the server away with a shotgun, Artix entertainment has handled its problems a lot better.
Oh, and in a fight, twilly would beat postie pete and zhoom would totally beat zezima(sorry zezima) and although I didn't mention it, I think it was an act of stupidity on the part of my friends to say that Lvmage could beat the ghost rider…nothing beats the ghost rider… except Chuck Norris.
