Why Eating a Shark in Runescape Will Destroy the Universe

This hilarious proof uses the genius of Albert Einstein to prove that eating a single Shark in RuneScape will cause cosmic implosion.

One day I was looking through my bank, when suddenly, a hunger pain growled through my stomach. To satisfy this desire, I withdrew a single shark. Cooked sharks weigh 0.6 kg. I clicked on the thing and my character ate it in a single bite. But that's not the astonishing part.

What's astonishing is that my weight went down to 0 kg. If 0 kg is the relative established zero for my character with nothing in my inventory and nothing equipped, it is logical that my weight should stay at 0.6 kg. But it did not.

You guys all know Albert Einstein, right? Well he made this equation that said mass was energy, and energy was mass. That equation was E=mc2 , where E is energy, m is mass, and c is the speed of light.

So, if Mr. Wakesnow12 suddenly weighs 0 kg, then all that shark must have been converted into energy, right? Let's do some calculations:

E = (0.6 kg) * (3.00 x 108 m/s)2

E = 54,000,000,000,000,000 J

E = 54 pJ (petaJoules)

Wow

This amount of energy being released is the equivalent to 600 Plutonium-Fission nuclear bombs exploding. This is like 12,906.309751 kilotons of TNT exploding right where the mass-energy conversion took place.

Maybe the graphics are bad or something, but I did not see 600 nuclear bombs exploding where my character was standing. I must have blinked. So I eat another shark and convert more mass into energy. No stellar explosions. Nothing

The energy must have been destroyed. According to the Law of Conservation of Energy, energy cannot be created or destroyed, so eating a shark in RuneScape will certainly cause the universe to implode upon itself. Great job, Wakesnow12. Your hunger caused us all to die.

For all who are interested,

54 pJ is the equivalent to 12,897,678,418,000 nutritional calories. Or about 23,884,589,660 Big Macs

You forget that your avatar and the shark are made of pixels. They are made of light not mass.

You assume that "kg" stands for kilograms but this cannot be true. Kg is a measure of mass in meatspace where you live (and Einstein once lived), In Runescape "Kg" must stand for a measure of pixel mass - which really has no mass at all. Therefore there need not be any "boom" when you eat a shark.

My question is: if the Runescape world is made of light (pixels), then why is the sky always black?
