There are many pking spots in the wilderness (as you know, the wilderness is HUGE), but only certain select ones are actually suitable for pking. This article will stick to the non-member areas of the wilderness.
VARROCK WILDERNESS (Level 1 above varrock, also known as v wildy)
V wildy is a great pking spot. Although it is very easy for people to run out of the wildy (only a couple steps), binds can remedy this. Since so many people pk here, there is bound to be somebody (or multiple people) your level. It is best not to pk here solo, as it is not easy to kill anyone only a few steps from safety. If you have a team, make sure that they are all about the same level; if not, then not all of them can participate, and some of them might start complaining after a while. The most annoying part of v wildy are the aggressive giant rats.
GIANTS
At giants, there may or may not be people there, depending partly on what world you are in. You can bring a team with a large variety of combat levels, because can help on most people this deep in the wilderness. However, it is still always best for the team to consist of people of the same combat levels. It is best not to go to giants alone, because usually only teams go to giants. These teams can range from 2 or 3 people to maybe even 20 people. If you meet a team that is substantially larger than yours, then it is best to get your tele button ready. If the opposing team is large enough so you can't win, but not large enough to kill you fast, then there is a section of non-multi east of giants that you can run to in order to one on one some of their team members. Just be careful of pjers. Make sure that you don't run south into a bunch of trees.
EVERYTHING IN-BETWEEN
Occasionally, you will see people in between giants and v wildy. These people are usually teams like your own that were either headed to v wildy or headed to giants. Depending on where you are, tree hugging (running around a tree so that your enemies get stuck until they click another spot) may be an option to gain some health. If your team consists of people of differing levels, then they may or may not be able to help here.
EDGEVILLE WILDERNESS (Level 1 above edgeville, also known as edgy)
There is nobody here in most worlds. Only in worlds 5 and below is this a big pking spot. Since edgy wildy is a large non-multi area, this is the most common spot for non-multi pking. Also, the monastery is nearby for monks to heal you after battles (and for people with over 31 pray to recharge their prayer on the second floor). Bringing teles is seen as cowardly, since non-multi only allows for one on one. Only experienced pkers ever pk here. If you think your stats are sufficient enough to beat other experienced pkers one on one, then this is the place to go. Note that teams cannot pk here.
EVERYWHERE ELSE
Since the wilderness is so big, this won't actually cover EVERYTHING else. However, it will hit some key highlights. In level 36 is a good bsing spot . I wrote an article that explains this titled “How to bs in many different situations”, but I'm not sure if it will be published. Also a good spot for pking is greater demons (gdz) in about level 48 at the far east. This is only good for REALLY BIG teams (like 9+ people). I am aware that castle is also a popular spot for pking, but I will state some reasons against it. Since castle is mostly non-multi, it is not very good for team pking. The multi section makes it worse; rangers/mages can pj meleers, and then the pking just becomes a cat and mouse game. The stairs and doors can also make pking here very aggravating.
WORLDS
World choice is a big factor in how well you pk. Worlds 1 through 7 are generally large and for big teams who want some action. For medium-sized worlds, try worlds 29, 30, 55, and 57. For small worlds, try a world that is in your area; this could be the “best world for you” if you wanted.
