well i only play rs on free time or when im bored, im lvl 90 but i do have a social life, but i dont get bored with it cuz i play it very few time, most of the time i go out XD

I played Runescape for 3 years. may 2002-September 2005. Since I was too young to get a credit card back then I wasn't able to become a member.

I am SOO glad I didn't waste money on that game. It was fun, and addictive, but when I stopped playing, I realized what a terrible waste of time/my life it was. The only reason I would like to play Runescape again is because I loved castle wars.

I dont think Runescape SUCKS. It just got a little to addictive for me to handle.

for me, runescape was a second life to escape all my worldly troubles. since i had no social life even before playin RS, it was the only way i could socialize with other ppl i didnt know. making friends, killing monsters, skilling....reminds me how much i loved the game. when i stopped i suddenly became depressed and suicidal, and all that changed again when i decided to take RS again. That's just a bit of how much i love Runescape.

hmm im still addicted after 2 years but i have a steady job so i can pay for membership, i think its the skills, there so addictive!

its a great game - i think im addicted and have been a member for half a year - lvl 82 ftw.

i just think because think its because you can kill stuff, buy stuff, talk to people, make friends, and do stupid things :P

omfg i tried to teswt my fate and took all my stuff out of my env and waited till i had 1 hp left to kill a moss giant, by the time it had 5 hp left it hit a 2 on me and i lostr all my stuff =[ and my friend go a event so he couldent pray on my grave. every1 add me im a lev 64

Talking about why Runescape is popular.
I have been playing Runescape for a year now and I hope to take the account to membership. But why have I played of a year and have kept on playing? This may be a question of many Runescape players who have spent time and money on the game.

I have had friends approach me and tell me that Runescape is a waste of time and has bad graphics, but I tell them I like the game and want to continue playing, and they laugh at me. What is so good about Runescape that I want to keep on playing it and get higher levels. Maybe it is that I can get money and buy things of interest to me. Or maybe I spend so much time on it because I can battle other people or monsters, or maybe it is that I can do a range of activities to get levels up and do quest. Whatever the reason is I am addicted to Runescape.

It is not just me who is addicted to Runescape millions of people are addicted to it too. On the Runescape website they told us that the now have A MILLION MEMBERS which is a lot of people who share the same passion for the game as me. I would like to hear feed back from you guys on my “story” if you can call it that. I know I have no social life lol! If you have played Runescape maybe you can comment on why you like Runescape.

I play because I have lots of spare time, as I don't have and have never had a social life. It really makes me feel sick seeing people say "yeah u sittin next to me in history tomorro?", as I have tried, but I have been pushed away every time.

I've played rs for years and i'm 15 now. Even with bad updates, the game never gets less fun. I have a guide for every skill pending on triond.com if you guys wanna check that out. Name in box is same as triond account.

i played runescape and still am,i like it because there are so many things u can do in it and its free and easy,and there are so many people with different personalities to meet on it.although i pay for membership i control myself,i try not to play for too long non-stop.once i went on for 6 hours non-stop.currently i am playing a different game,but i am going back on it soon. i take breaks in between like when i have done something i have been trying to do i reward myself by playing something else.i have seen that they have updated its graphics and now it looks really good,compensates for all the unsatisfying updates they made like no PK and 3k limit

Hi, I really love Runescape.com, I first joined because of my brother. He was a really high level, and it was all That I thought I could level up ahead of him.
I started to make new friends in school, who played Runescape.. and we meet every day and talk about things. I have been playing it since 2006 and still today at the moment I am playing it.

I play it forever espically in the summer.
I think some of the reasons why I like Runescape is because I met new friends, and intersting people.
I think the whole point that I play is because..
I wanna be at the top, and I wanna know how it feels to have you're work apprciated.. I want to feel like Zezima.
And I work and I work hard.
I think it's like my goal..
And when I do become the next Zezima I know that my friends I will still be with

Do you know why we get addictedd to Runescape?
Its all about psychology and numbers...
you see, when we level up, we wouldn't even bother to do tiresome things to level up if we had no encourangement.
When they show how much EXP left for the next level, you get excited and say 'Oh, just a bit more to level 64, then 65 until 80 or 99...'
So we do it because of continuos encourangement
And also because of competitiveness.
We will say 'Oh i want that piece of dragon armor/partyhat'
I only need ... 3887653 lobsters to do that
and you'll count the lobsters as they go by
thinking 'Just a bitmore, a bit more...'
But in calculations find out how many years it would take to get that amount.
the catch is, only if you bother to calculate.

I've been playing Runescape for 2 years now,
And i've been a Member for 1 month,
I'm the top scorer in the top class in the top school in my district,
Yet i'm addicted to Runescape.

My explanation is that Jagex uses the psychology of numbers,
So that people level up / make money,
And some people who wanna buy Runescape money(last time) got banned,
because they must have realised that they play runescape for fun,
not for leveling up.

You know, when i was a member for one month (my combat lvl is 70 now, total lvl 921),
I played Runescape for an extremely long time,
when my membership expired i had already got sick of Runescape,
yet that was last year,

this year my addiction is back,
i'm a school student staying up till 3AM to play Runescape,
Why should i suffer like this?
After all, Runescape is just a game!

Oh and i forgot to tell you, i quit Runescape for a while,

But i came back and i'm addicted to it back,

Because i saw VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE

i love the game very much i got 15 skillcapes and a slayer cape

yes im addicted and play 13-18 hours non stop in the weekends and 5-8h on week days. i love the game and hate the real life world. I'm never going back i wont stop playing rs and i will probably still be playing when im 40 (im 19 now) i played since i was 15

I've been playing runescape for a while now, until I got to the age where I had to quit and study for my GCSE exams. I didn't really miss it that much whilst studying because I was too busy, but after a few days after my exams were finished I found myself itching to go on runescape. I just had to get my quest cape back and I wanted a higher total level! So thats what I did, I got my quest cape back and my total level is now 1735, with nearly all my skills 70+. However, the time has now come for me to quit once more due to a lot of work, but I hope to join again in the future. It is addictive.

I was addicted for about a year
Then I stopped.. So glad I did. The game is just a shitty time sink and I barely even know why I played. The community is crap, graphix are crap, leveling is crap, ect.
