Choosing a good password
A wise thing to do to keep your Runescape account safe is to choose a long Password. Something around 10 to 14 characters will be great. Including both numbers and letters will be wise Make it something you will remember. Like your Full phone number, a friend's full name, your library card ID, a secret massage or a saying you usually use.

Do NOT play trust games
A very common scam in Runescape is the trust game. NEVER EVER participate in them. The whole point of the trust game is to scam your items. Even when the host shows the money he promised, don't believe them. They will give your items back at first but when you give more valuable stuff they take it, So never play trust games.
Multi Theft
This is a very common scamming technique in Runescape. The scammer logs into two accounts and give them both specific jobs to do. Heres an example of a multi-theft approach:
-Two players walk in a bank.
-They see your valuable armor.
-p1: trading “some kind of junk” for your armor.
-p2: Buying p1's junk for (500k or something like that)
-you trade your armor for p1's junk.
-then both of them logs out.
Always think before making a decision
Always think before making a trade. Ask yourself:
“Is it worth it?”
“Is this to good to be true?”
“Does this smell kind of fishy?”
“Where can a guy get a drink?”(Lol just kidding)
You can always say no, do not get over excited about something and lose self control.

Always listen to the tips the stronghold of security doors give you. They hold very useful information about scamming and how to protect your account. I know, I know, you've heard them say the same things over and over each time. But don't ignore them, remember them. The rules might come in handy in the future.
Recovery questions
Always set good and memorable recovery questions. Make them something about you that nobody except your friends and family know. For example:
-Your mom/dad's occupation
-Your best friend's name
-Your favorite video game
-The best game console you own
-The year of your birth
-The city you live in
-Your favorite show or movie
Bank Pin
Choosing a bank pin is a very important thing. If someone hacks into your account and have full control over your character. They won't be able to get to anything in your bank. This means they can't steal most of the things you own. So making a safe bank pin is good for you.Good examples of a bank pin are:
-your birth date and month
dd/mm
-the price for your favorite food
Dd/cc
-the birth date of both your parents
Mom mom/dad dad
-the last for # of your phone number
Do not scam others
Have you ever heard the saying that if you do something to a person they'll return the favor? So if you scam someone someday you will also get scammed. So do not scam anyone.
Do not randomly add friends
Randomly adding people you don't know can result in horrible things. You don't know those people they could be hackers or scammers. They might track your IP and send you viruses. You never know when someone is going to stab you in the back. So its always safe to add friends you know really well or friends you know in real life.
