Ultimate Runescape Leveling Guide

Find out where to train and get the most out of your time.

Best monsters to kill for great exp and drops! Take the shortcut to a high-level character!

Levels 3-10

Cows

Cows can be found near where you get teleported to after completing Tutorial Island. They drop hides which you can sell for 100gp each and are a great place to train because they can rarely hit you.

Chickens

Chickens are also a great monster to start off with as it cannot hurt you and you can sell feathers for about 5-10gp each. They drop about 10-25 feathers each time and are stackable so you'll be training and getting a profit.

Levels 11-35

Goblins

They are a great monster to train on. You should go to goblin village for this, north of Falador. There are many of them there and remember to bring some food so you can train for a while without stopping.

Al Kharid Warriors

Head to Al Kharid and train on Al Kharid Warriors. Remember, they will all attack you at once so remember to bring plenty of food and if you think this is too hard then go back to goblins till you can take these.

Levels 36-45

Scorpions

Go to Falador and go down to dwarvern mines and fight the scorpions. There are plenty of them for you to train on. They do not drop loot so you may want to consider another option.

Skeletons

They can be found in Varrock sewers just past the zombies you should focus on the skeletons here and this monster does drop some loot but not anything too valuable.

Level 46-60

Moss Giants

These can also be found in Varrock sewer. Go to the very end and there are two spawning spots for moss giants. They drop big bones which are excellent for prayer purposes and drop good loot.

Red Spiders

Take the boat from Port Sarim to Karamaja and head to the dungeon there where you'll find red spiders for you to train on.

Once you think you're ready, you should try and complete the Dragon Slayer quest. It allows you to wear full rune. At first, fighting a dragon might seem unnerving but I was able to finish the quest at around level 50. I recommend a rune scimitar to kill the dragon.

Final Note

Once you're level 60, you should have a good idea of where to train. I recommend moss giants because they have good drops, health and don't hit often which maximizes your experience and money. As well, lesser demons can offer you some great experience.

you failed to mention hill giants who are good traing from 36+. They are just as fast or faster than skeltons and skorps but drop big bones which are valuble and great prayer expeariance. They can be found in the edgville dungeon, or acceses by wntering the little hut west of cvarrock with a brass key.

also, i find that cows are much more effective training than golbins, at the moment cowhides sell for around 150gp each

with just the tiniest bit of patience you can cow kill your way up to level 36 and make a decent ammount for the requirements of the level (mithril, adamant)

thanks liam for the contribution that could also work as a way of leveling and making some cash.
