Training Range

How to train range as a free member.

Equipment 1-20

  • Leather Chaps
  • Leather Vambs
  • Leather Body
  • Studded Chaps
  • Short bow
  • Oak Bow
  • Willow Bow
  • Bronze Arrows
  • Some Food (Just in Case)

Training 1-20

First start training your range on level 2 man and women in the bar in Varrock. Hide behind the tables so they can't hurt you. Keep attacking them until you get to level 5 range. After you get to level 5 change your bow to the oak bow and keep training. Once you finally get to level 20 equip you studded chaps and your willow bow. If you accidentally get hit by them eat your food so you don't die.

Equipment 20-40

  • Leather Vambs
  • Studded Chaps
  • Green Dragon Hide Chaps
  • Green Dragon Hide Vambs
  • Willow Bow
  • Maple Bow
  • Bronze Arows/Iron
  • Food

Training 20-40

After you get to level 20 start training on the monks west of Edgeville. After you get to 30 equip your maple bow. Now that you have 30 range you can go into Edgeville and hide behind the gate and shoot the guards (Some people open these gates to get a laugh out of it so watch out for them). Another place is in the varrock sewers, after you climb down the ladder walk west until you see a river, on the other side you will see zombies, which you can train on but it might be hard to get your arrows back. If you some how get injured use the food that you brought along to heal.

Equipment 40-60

  • Green Dragon Hide Chaps
  • Green Dragon Hide Vambs
  • Maple Bow
  • Bronze Arows/Iron
  • Food

Training 40-60

Once you get 40 range you can start by training on hill giants underground. You can hide behind objects or go into a narrow path (There pretty big they won't fit). This is a great way to get your prayer up also! Just keep training on hill giants until you finally get level 60 range. Make sure to eat food if you get hit by them.

Equipment 60+

  • Green Dragon Hide Chaps
  • Green Dragon Hide Vambs
  • Maple Bow
  • Mithril Arrows/Adamant
  • Food (Lobsters or better recommended)

Training 60+

After you get 60 range go to Kajarma and start walking until you see a big hill with a rope going down. Once you go down the rope find where the Lesser Demons are and hide behind something and start ranging them. Keep on training on them until you get to the level you want. If you do manage to get hit by them eat the food you brought with you (There max hit is 8 and if you have 1 defense there probably going to hit that).

I would also like to add that if you\'re a member and have done the creature of frankenstrain quest, experiments are great xp. Their max hit is one, they have very low defence, and 100 hitpoints. That\'s 400 xp per kill. It got me from 61 to 70 in days.

yer like rangehelper experiments are probably the best or one of the best methods of training range cheaply (as opposed to red chins), the cons are theres no money in it. experiments got me from 70-80 in days lol =D
