The two handed sword to scimitar glitch does not Work!
Just because you can kill something doesn't necessarily mean you should.
The same thing goes for some of your skills, just because you can mine
adamant, or chop yew trees doesn't necessarily mean you should. You should wait until you go a couple levels above the required level before you do so.
Summoning just came out and people are already getting up to level 80 and 85 it just makes you think if they have a life or not.
I've been playing for almost two years and not one of my skills is that high I just find it hard to stay on a computer for that long.
Playing for the First Time
If you just started playing then you could get lost or easily wander into danger. I would recommend either begging someone for a simple pair of iron armor or sticking with the training shield and sword. After getting yourself some amour, you immediately start training. For a level 3 cows are the most common thing to train on.
Once you've reached a decent level like 15 or 20 make your way over to the goblin village and train there next. They are only level 5 so not that much of an upgrade from cows but more experience. By now you might want to start upgrading your armor and weapons.
Steel or black would be most useful for anyone at the level between 20 and 30. Steel will be a lot easier to acquire than black. Even if you have steel armor a black weapon is what you might want to use since it deals more damage. From there on it should be quite easy to level up.
After leveling up pretty nicely you should look for better places to fight. Beasts 10 to 15 levels below your combat would be a good idea of a training spot. The higher you level up you also have to remember to upgrade your armor and weapons.
