When people train their prayer, they usually use bury big bone. Big bone give a lot of experience and people are usually fooled by that. But the truth is that big bones are not the way to train prayer most efficiently, either you buy it or hunt it. Regular bone are better, both bought or hunted.
Bought
Even though regular bones give about 4 times less experience than big bone, regular bones are still cheaper. Big bones cost about 400gp, and regular bones, 90gp. 90gpx4 is still only 360gp, and 4 regular bones is more experience, than 1 big bone, so you save about 80gp each time. So if you buy 1000 big bones, you saved 80K gp. Though its not a lot, over time, you will waste quite a chunk of your money.
Hunted
In all the place where u can hunt giants, there is either too little giants, like the Ice Dungeon (Where the blurite is), there is only 2 or 3 Ice Giants, so is will be pretty slow getting hundreds of bone. Another problem is that the place is too crowded, like the Edgeville Dungeon, where the hill giants are. I've never been in it with less than 15 other players. If u hunt chickens, bones comes way faster. There's usually only noob training there so they will most likely ignore the bones. Also, it's usually not that crowded, chickens can be kill with only one hit, and chickens respawns fast. So in conclusion, regular bones are always better than big bones.
