The quest can be obtained from Fred the Farmer, who can be found north of Lumbridge, inside a small hut surrounded by chickens. He will not seem in a very good mood, but talk to him anyway. He will offer you a
quest: Bring back 20 balls of wool for a reward.
You will need shears to shear the sheep. Grab the pair that is on the table near Fred, and then leave the hut.
The sheep can be found right next to the hut, running around in a big open field. To shear the sheep, just
click on them. It is helpful to have "Run" on at this point, to make it easier to catch the sheep. Also, watch
out for rams: you can't shear them. Oh, and some of the sheep are really farmers in disguise.
Once you fill up your inventory with wool, you now have to spin it into balls. A spinning wheel can be found
back in Lumbridge Castle, on the second floor. Just click on the wool and then on the spinning wheel to make
the wool into a ball. Do this 20 times, and you will have the 20 balls of wool that Fred wants. Now just go
back to Fred and give him the 20 balls. Quest complete!
Oh, and if you can't carry 20 pieces of wool at once, you can give the balls of wool to Fred in separate
batches. For example, if you only have 10 inventory slots, you can give Fred 10 balls first, and then 10 more
balls to make a total of 20.
