After all, the game of Runescape is based on increasing skills and being able to do newer and better things. However, many people find it tiresome to sit there and increase skills for so long, especially when you get to the higher levels.
The only way to get through this is patience, and with a few other things, you'll find yourself having much more fun than you ever expected.
When training, never look at your experience, and just perform the same tedious action until you level up. Turn on some music, watch a movie or talk to your friends online, anything to keep your mind off the boredom of level increasing. And whenever it gets really boring, think about how good you would feel and how much you could benefit from actually reaching your goal.
Random Events
There is also another nice secret here. All the things mentioned above that help keep you busy work for upgrading skills such as woodcutting, fishing, cooking, and more because these skills can be upgraded with the click of one button, and the character will do everything that is needed. However, you'll get bored if you were to do combat skills, because you have to keep challenging opponents and fighting.
There is another secret to escape this boredom - random events!
You are probably thinking, "How could random events possibly help, because they're RANDOM!"
Well, I've devised a way to make random events occur. When you're killing monsters, most people don't even bother picking up the bones. Don't pick bones up for about 10 or 15 minutes. As you keep doing the same thing over and over again, the Runescape computers automatically think of giving you a random event!
So, here's your chance. Between periods of 10-15 minutes, bury one or two bones. Undoubtedly, because of your sudden change in regular activity, you will get a random event!
