Strengths of Runescape Weapons

Ever wanted to know what is the difference between a scimitar and a 2hander? Well this article explains it all!

  • Mace: Not a good weapon. Gives a small bonus to prayer. Low strength and accuracy. Medium speed.
  • Dagger: Fastest weapon. It has the lowest strength with an average
  • accuracy.
  • Sword: It gives a small defense bonus, with a low strength and average speed. Mostly used by “noobs”.
  • 2-hand sword: The Slowest weapon but has the highest strength bonus, with the cost of a shield. It has a very low accuracy. Recommended for players with higher attack and defense levels than strength
  • Longsword: Average speed, slightly higher strength than the scimitar. Adamant and rune longswords have higher slash attack bonuses than adamant and rune scimitars respectively, while bronze, iron, steel and Mithril is the opposite. Increases defense slightly.
  • Warhammer: Very slow, but has a high crushing attack bonus, but with a low accuracy and an average strength. One of the least used weapons on runescape, because of the minimal bonuses against the slow speed
  • Battleaxe: This weapon is faster than the Warhammer but is still slow. It has a lower accuracy, but has high strength bonuses. This weapon is good for people who have a higher attack level then strength.
  • Scimitar: Most balanced weapon in Runescape. Main choice for many players. The balanced weapon. My personal choice.
