Runescape: the Pros and Cons

Runescape is an RPG that is on the internet, no downloading. thousands of people play this games, and you have two hate it, or love it. this is my personal experiences on runescape and all there is.

When you ever hear the word “runescape”, what is the first thought that comes to your mind? Is it a game that sucks because you had no idea what you had to do? Is it one of the best games, because you have millions, full rune, and all the stuff that noobs wish they had? I personally love it, as well as many friends. I have been playing for about three years, and I have never been a member. The good thing about this rpg is that it is free to play, so you don't have to pay a cent, unlike other games. The bad thing is that a lot of access to it is limited, such as some skills, areas, weapons, armor, magic, prayer, etc. in order to get all the skills, magic spells, very strong weapons, areas with tough monsters, you must pay 5 dollars a month, and that is by paying with credit card. If u do any other payments, such as pay by phone, sms, or cash, the cost will be ranging from 6.99-9.99. It may not seem much, but it all adds up.

On F2P (free 2 play) worlds, you can do a fair share of stuff. You can fish a variety of fish, ranging from shrimps, up to swordfish. You can sell these items, or cook(another skill) them so u can use them when damaged so they can heal hp(hit points). You can mine metals, such as tin and copper to make bronze, iron, mithril, adamantine, and runite ores. Of course, different lvs is needed to mine these ores. All skills are in lvs, from lv 1(staring lv) to lv 99(max lv, but u can still work on skill for experience). you can work on battle skills, such as strength(skill needed to take away hit points), attack(skill needed to wield different kinds of weapons) and defense( skill needed to wear different types of armor). And like in most games, there are quest! Quest are tasks u can do for NPCs(non-playable characters) such as acquiring items for them, killing monsters, and so on. Some quest will give a lot of experience for certain skills, or give access to a weapon or armor you can only use after completing the quest. There are a handful of quest in F2P worlds. Of course, there is magic, a strong skill in non-mems world that can hit a fair share of HP. You can craft pottery, jewelry, leather armor, etc. There is a total of 23 skills, but you can only access 16 of these skills, you must subscribe to members to use the other 7.

Of course, there is also P2P(pay 2 play). In this, u get full access to the game. The servers are better, you get more access to fishing different fish, wielding a vast variety of weapons and armors and more areas. The limited 7 skills are now all for you. There is tons more quest, a huge variety of them. You will get weapons with huge power, and some of them have a special attack! In membership, you can make money faster(gold pieces, but called gp for short). Some skills can let make things that are worth a lot, or you can kill tough monsters that drop great items. Runescape is a fun game, but at certain times, it can be VERY boring in non- mems worlds. In members worlds, I am not so sure, since im not a member, but I also think that sometimes, it can also be boring. If you want to see all the skills there is, just go to runescape.com ;creating an account is easy, and best of all, free. You can create all the accounts you want. Of course, there are rules, in both non- mems and mems. You can get permanently banned for breaking rules. This is just a fraction of what runescape is, if u want to learn more, just go to the website.
