Runescape: The World of Online Gaming

Read up on the growing game that has taken the internet gaming community by storm.

Runescape was first developed in 1995 by Andrew Gower as a basic online game that was free to play but more benefits could be unlocked by paying for a RuneScape membership as well.

Even when the game was first launched there were about 10,000 members registered in about 3 months and about 35% chose to purchase a membership for the online game. this meant graphical updates and a higher gaming standard could be purchased by the producers and more 'worlds' and 'skills' would become available.

Over the years RuneScape continued to update more and more until finally a newere much higher detail version was created making the older version obselite but it was still accessible to members of the original version but new accounts could not be registered.

RuneScape currently has 93 million members registered worldwide and has 3 offices all loacted in the UK mostly in Cambridge. Each year the game reaps in millions of pounds worth of profits from members subscribing to more gaming benefits even after the payment of workers, updates and website domains etc which means the game can continually update on a daily basis to becoming one of the best online games in the world.

It is not just children that play this game, many adults have fallen victim to playing many hours of RuneScape's fun and seductive options ranging from training skills to completing quests and recieving rewards.

RuneScape has a wide range of skills that can be trained in some of which include magic, cooking, fishing, summoning and agility. These can all be used in the game to produce items worth money which can be sold for the games currency, gp (gold pieces)

The quests in the game can be used to unlock new areas to explore and more monsters to kill and unlock new weapons to be used. Most of the quests are given to members but about 20 quests can be completed by free play members of the game but members have around 200-300 quests to complete with more being added on a monthly basis.

All of the above appears to have attracted 93 million people to joining the online gaming community of RuneScape so obviously it is worth while for you to have a look at it as the site is also popular because it involves absoloutley no downloads whatsoever you can just create an account and then play the high quality game for free or become a member if you want.
