There are various techniques used in Runescape for pking commonly known as “player killing”.
Firstly it is very important to know the difference between f2p pking (free to play) and p2p pking (pay to play).
In f2p it is generally a lot harder to die and you generally lose less loot each time you die, gain less if you kill someone.
In p2p it is very easy to die due to the special attacks
F2p pking tips:
F2p is a very fun place to Pk if you know how to. There are various methods including the 2h switch.
The 2h switch involves changing your weapon quickly to a 2hand weapon 2 hit a high hit.
This is most effectively used with range as the hit happens nearly instantaneously.
This can also work with a scimitar onto a 2hander and is commonly used but it is a lot slower to do.
Safing:
If someone calls you a safer they are talking about the amount of food you eat in comparison to your health. A “safer” is someone who eats their health points really high so they can't get koed. I believe there is nothing wrong with this, sometimes people say it just so they can get your hp lower. The downfall of safing is you waste time eating when you could be attacking.
Teleports:
Teleporting is very efficient and generally very needed in f2p pking. Most people will bring varrok teleports to the hill giants or sometimes to level 1 wilderness in varrok. The way to do this is when you are being hit really high or are out of food you click on the teleport and you are safe.
Potions: in f2p there is only 1 real potion that you are able to use for pking. The strength pot. Strength pots are a necessity for meleers or rangers that use the 2h switch. it makes you hit higher.
Prayer: prayer is used more for the pures in f2p pking. Pures usually will have 31 prayer for the strength bonus and for protect item. Prayer is useful but not needed.
