Runescape Mining Guide

The simple and easy way to get a high mining level in Runescape.

I have been playing Runescape for many years and I now that getting high mining level take a lot of patience and dedication. This guide shows you how to get the highest mining level with the least amount of patience and dedication!

Before you start mining, I recommend that you have some cash on hand to buy things like pickaxes (if you do not have money use my money-making guide.) If you are making a brand new account get level 3 mining on Tutorial Island.

Once you get to the mainland, go to the dwarven mines mining store and buy yourself an iron pickax. Then go to an empty mining spot where there are 2 rocks around you and mine until you have level 6 mining. When you have level 6 mining, buy a steel pickax and move to a mining place near a bank such as the Varrock East Mine. Mine a few full loads of copper and tin and then drop them all after each load. Keep doing this until you have at least level 15 mining.

Now would be a good time to do the following quest: Doric's Quest. Then start mining iron and drop all of the ores after each full load. After level 21 mining switch to a mithril pick ax and continue the process. Once you get to level 30 mining you can start mining coal. Also I recommend switching to an adamant pickax as soon as you get level 31 mining because it is very fast and you need speed to mine against all the competition you will be facing.

Although you can mine coal, I would not recommend doing that because it would be slow and respawn time would be slow and you will probably have competition. So I recommend that you continue drop mining iron ore until level 41. Now you can use a rune pickax, the best pickax in the game so far. With the rune pickax drop mining iron is very easy.

Just go to a crowded world and fine an empty iron spot and drop mine. For the rest of your mining life, you should drop mine iron for experience or keep the ores for smithing or selling.

drop mining is for mining xp only. If you want to make money then by all means bank your ores and check out my money-making guide but I repeat drop mining is not for money but for mining xp!

this guide is okay. however, powermining iron from 41 to whatever can get quite boring. i suggest that if ur bored and is lvl 60 mining go mine some coal from the mining guild. nice guide, i just suggest something a little less boring.

dude this is okay but you should start mining coal at about 45-50 mining, and BANK IT OR DROP IT YOUR CHOICE. Then once you get to about 60 mining, mine in the guild and drop or bank the coal to 70, then once you get 70 mine a combination of mithril-addy-coal. Once you hit 80, mine mithril and also mine addy, when at 90 just mine rune and addy and world-hop. Not that hard. If you keep dropping iron ore until 99 mining you are going to be bored out of your mind.
