Runescape Guide to Making Money

Learn how to make money in Runescape.

Are you new to Runescape, or need a guide to help you make money? If you are, than I hope that this guide helps you.

Who Can Make a Lot of Money?

  • People that can mine iron and make iron bars
  • People that can't mine gold and can't make gold bars.
  • Free players or members.

How to Do It:

  1. Go to any bank and deposit everything besides your pick axe
  2. Go to the mining site south of Faldor and mine iron and when your inventory is full deposit all of it in the bank. There is a bank nearby. keep on doing this until your mining LVL is 40.( This can be boring because it takes a long time maybe a week. But in the end its worth it.)
  3. You will probably have a lot of iron ores by now in your bank. Put everything in the bank and fill all your inventory with iron.
  4. There is a furnace near the bank so go to it and smelt the iron into iron bars. All of them won't be successful because of how iron is. Deposit all the bars into the bank and fill your inventory with more iron bars. Keep on doing this until you run out of iron ores. Your smithing should be way higher now. If it is not 40 don't worry.
  5. If you have not done Doric's quest then do it. It should be really easy for you now.
  6. After you are done with Dorics quest then Doric will let you use his anvils.
  7. Get a hammer and fill your inventory with iron bars. There is another bank close to the north of Falador which makes things easier for you. Keep on making the most highest level thing you can make with iron. To get maybe 10k sell the items at the general store in Faldor or the store that sells the certain item you have. (if you sell it to the general store you get less money.)
  8. After you are done with this I assure you you will get your smithing to level 40. No it is time to hit the big things.
  9. This is where you start making some real cash. Go back to the mining site near the south entrance of Falador and start mining gold. Then smelt them into bars. This takes time but you will be amazed of how much each piece will cost. You can even start a business where someone mines everything for you and you just sell them. You have to give some profit to the person though but you will still have a lot for yourself.
  10. When you think you have enough sell them for at least 1k each. You should withdraw them as notes so you don't have to waste inventory space. By the end of the week you will have at least 50k. The more people you put in to work the more money you get. Selling them is the easiest part.
  11. Enjoy your money and congratulate yourself for making it this far.

To Make a Lot of Money (Beginners)

Just started Runescape? Need help making money?

  1. Go to the mining site south of Varrock and mine copper and tin.
  2. Mine until inventory is full and save in the bank near the east of Varrock.
  3. Go to Faldor and make all of your ores into bars.
  4. Go to Varrock and make all your bars into things and sell them.
  5. Continue doing this until you can mine iron and make iron bars. Then continue with To make a lot of money on the top of this page.

Doric's Quest

Go to Falador. Go near the north entrance. Take the left path to get to the place where Doric is. Talk to him and keep on going east until you see a hillish type of thing. Go up and go to the Dwarvin mine. Go down the trapdoor and look for the ores you need. Go back to Doric and give them to him and thats it. This quest is pretty easy.

pretty bad guide considering that the price of a gold bar is way off. 1k ea? LMAO. It is only 200 gp for a bar, 500 for an ore. It is more for an ore becuse gold ore is the fastest way to get exp in smithing using the smithing gaunlets, which is members.\

So dont just type random stuff. Make a real guide.

sorry about the wrong information on this page. Yes u do get 200gp-500gp per gold bar. I will fix it though. It is just that i got confused with a price of something else made of gold.Still 200gp-500gp is still alot of money for one ore.

interesting guide i must say. the only problem is now there is far better and faster ways to earn money. mining only seriously becomes a profit when you can mine rune ore, and thats if you want the big bucks. with all the new updates there are many quicker and better places to mine also.. tree gnome village has a high ammount of coal and iron rocks with next to no people there. a great bigginers way to earn money is fishing without a doubt. for more advanced players runcrafting is a must due to the new wilderness updates. you can use the abyss without worry. so this means 300k an hour at only level 44 runecrafting ! .. mining is a compotition also, so many people mine now that you have to fight over rocks. with runecrafting and fishing this isent the case you do this in your own time and space and once the levels come by you will earn money faster then you wish for. if i can advise anyone to earn money through fishing or runecrafting get the quest finished and fish monk fish and sell these on at 300 each ( far quicker then gold ore) or get level 44 runecrafting and earn yourself 300k an hour :) choice is yours.

Easiest way by far is to pick up the meat from cows and sell it at the grand exchange. If you can stand the boardom of picking up meat left laying on the ground you can have thousands within a hour of starting playing the game.
