Runescape - Best spots to train skills

Tricks and spots to F2P skills level up quickly.

Alright, now I will tell about the best places to train your F2P skills quickly!

Attack, strength, defence

For the low level players there is no special place to train those skills, any place with low level monsters should do.

For the middle level players I rather prefer the cave in Crandor Island, to get there, go to port sarim and pay 30gp for a boat ride (you must have done the dragon slayer quest)

I like this place because when I battle the skeletons there (they sometimes drop law runnes), I watch the players fighting the dragon, they sometimes die, and you can grab their items with telekinetic grab.

For high level players, a good place is outside the Crandor Island , near the cave, there are some strong Ogres with high hp and a defence not very high that means you can do massive damage to them.

They drop big bones.

Ranged

Sorry but, there is no special place in F2P that I might put here, if you know a good place just tell.

Prayer

First leave all your stuff in the bank, prepare to go to the wildy! Just north of Varrock there is a place called chaos altar, that place is full of normal bones, and if you pick them up, seconds later they reappear, just be careful about the Pkers. If you're a scary cat, and don't want to go to the wildy, the stronghold of security in barbarian village is also a good spot.

Magic

Just south of draynor village, there is a place called Wizard tower, on top floor there is a strong demon, but don't despair, he's trapped, so you can cast him all the magic you want without danger, if he dies, seconds later he reappears. Most of the times, other players are there training too, so it's fun to train and talk with them

Rarely, the demon drops runne med helms that you can pick with telekinetic grab!

Runecrafting

There is no special place to train runecrafting but you might as well mine lots of runne essence first, deposit them in the bank, and after you get for at least 200 or more, start transforming them into magic runnes.

I usually train on air altar, south of Falador, but that doesn't matter what altar you choose.

Note that mind altar is located in wildy, so it might be dangerous to choose that one.

Crafting

There are so many ways to train crafting; here is some that I usually use.

Go to dwarves mine in Falador, and mine some clay, then go to the fountain in Falador, and transform the hard clay into soft clay with a bucket of water, finally go to barbarian village, make some pottery and fire it.

Other way is to mine gold, smelt it and make gold stuff (you will need mould of the item you want to make) the furnace in Falador is a good choice.

You can also buy uncut jewels from players on west bank, in Falador and cut them.

Or you can kill cows (there are cows northeast of Lumbridge), grab their cowhides, then go to al kahid and talk to the tannery owner, he will transform the cowhides in leather or hard leather, finally go to Rimmington and buy a needle and some thread and start making lots of leather armour.

Mining

That's easy, go to dwarves mine in Falador and start mining iron, find a spot that has 2 iron rocks and mine it. Iron is very good to power up mining level because gives good exp, its super easy to mine, and the respawn time is very short (if you are mining only to power up, use only the iron rocks)

When you have the inventory full, drop the iron on the floor and continue mining, this way, other players don't bother you saying:

- Hey, I want to mine too, bla bla bla

They just pick the ore on the ground and go away ;)

Smithing

Alright, start mining lots of ores in Falador mines.

When you have plenty of them, start smelting at Falador furnace and deposit the bars on east bank, keep doing this until you're ores are all over.

Then go to west Varrock's bank, you will see that there is a anvil nearby, smith your bars there, because is super close to the bank, and it spares you lots of time, then you can sell the armour you made to players or to a general store.

Fishing

Buy a normal fishing rod and fishing bait, or a fly fishing rod and feathers in port Sarim.

Near the barbarian village there are great fishing spots, you can fish there.

If you are fishing only to power up fishing, cook the fish to lvl up cooking (there is fire at barbarian village or you can use the fire that players make) and give that fish to the players, there are always someone asking for free food, that way you can free your inventory to fish more.

Cooking

The best way to train cooking is to cook the fish that you catch, use the tactic said on “Fishing”. That way you will power up quickly, believe me.

Firemaking and Woodcutting

There are no special ways to train these skills.

Runescape is full of trees, you only need an axe and a tinderbox and start power up those skills.

if you want to level up fast in the beginning (like level 3-20 i prefer to own chickens of lvl-3. to spot them from lumbridge (walk to the left, get over the bridge. then just go walking up. you will meet some cows there, to the left there are chickens ready to kill. from varrocks walk to the south, pass the demonic circle. and keep walking south untill you get to the desert. DONT WALK INTO THE DESERT!!! just walk pass it and soon you will meet the chickens). this is a good training spot for both ranger and warrior. if you kill a chicken (has 3 hitpoints) they drop raw chicken, bones and sometimes feathers (5-15 wich can be sold for 3-5 gold.

a another cool way to train is fight chicken-chickes lev 3)(by lumbridge southwest of varrock) till lev 3-20 then when your lev 20 fight alkharid warriors-alkahrid warriors lev9) in alkharid till lev 35 then when your done doing that go kill hill giants-hill giants lev 28)
there right next to edgeville and up northwest of varrock. make sure you have a brass key to get in because without that you cant get in the little house so good luck and have a nice day.

there are tons of range spots... theres crandor island at mossies... theres a spot for higher rangers in volcano... theres a spot for low lvled rangers in the hill giant cave... u can train it at white knights castle as well... dont make a guide unless u actually aint a noob

the mind runecrafting altar is not in the wild. the danger sign comes up but you are not in the wild yet.

Yes firewolf995 is right, the mind altar is just on the edge of the wildy - not in it at all. So you can freely transform your rune essence there without any worry about PKers.

I would also recommend for melee trainers who are lvl 35-50ish to train on hill giants in the F2P Egdeville dungeon. They also drop big bones to get your prayer up. What's more they drop a few iron and steel weaps which give you a bit of extra cash!

If you wan to pk
Don wan pk train def to 40 and 40 atk and 40 str train str to 68+
go to hill giant kill it if you wan earn money take a bone sale for 350 ea
if u got saw people sale laws for 500coin ea go buy 100 or 200
if u have 25 above u use varrock tele take full inventory of b bone
if u have rune (cast spell rune)
so u will get 25 b bone

i reccomend that lvl 50-70's train in the ice caves. Ice giants and ice warriors drop laws, mith stuf, and blak kites. Plus they drop some good cash. If ur a high lvl u can get like 10k in like an hour of just fiting, plus u get good exp.

Hey all you mages out there do you want to get mages lvls fast like (30-50)in about an hour.first you make of fires about (2k-5k) or more if u want more exp then get alot of minds like about (500-2500) then go get an airs staff (1500gp in stores) after u do that if u have a magic lvl of 13 or higher cast fire strike to those mages south of fally, but cast fire strike to the fire mage ONLY.only cast it to him because he absorbs fire spells and that gives you so much exp.if u want to ask more questions of where to train ur mage pm me in runescape.alright i have to go traing my mages to lvl 78 now so cya.

well, i first was looking around to see what training area was best for me. I got to level 71 and started training in the stronghold of security (level 3) and i went from 71- 82 in about 2 weeks. That is a very good place to train...

the best place train is the rock crabs cuz they have att 1 str 1 def 1 and hp53 u hit hard but they hit nothing thats good for mage att str def range training place. im lvl57 att60 str80 def1 range72 mage82 im good pker so who wanna fight

Some Advice you guys might need is:
lvl (3-10)train at Lumbridge
lvl (11-20)train at Varrock Sewers
lvl (21-126)train in wildy (pking)

P.S. I have not been playing on Runescape for a while, because my Mother Said I was getting to addicted to it.

I have a good ranging pure plan
ranging lvl :1-20 train on goblins in goblin village because there is a lot of ranging spots.
20-30: in stronghold of security on the lvl 27 minotaurs, they drop iron arrows too :)
30-40: range the flesh crawlers in lvl 2 stronghold, there is a spot near the entrance, and like 2 hall ways, where there are 2 flesh crawlers. They drop iron ores, body runes, scepter bottoms, coins, etc.

i know a great way to train your magic to high lvls...

2 ways---
take alot of mind runes and your fire staff along with alot of air runes(needed for 1k spells or more,so you wont have to go back for more runes). Go inside the ice caves and on the safe spot where they cant attack you( near the door to skeletal wyerns). Start attacking them, notice that you can have alot more chances in hitting 8s( about 70%). If your good enough you can hit higher than 8s. Good Luck being a high mage!!

The other way is to use curse on scorpions in Al Kharid, be sure to wear your best armour but dont die....
Wear warrior armor so you'll miss the curse and get alot more xp from a single scorpian(you get magic xp even if u miss).

And for the 1st way of raising your mage, use fire strikes.

hey for a great spot to train str u can go to stronghold of security and train on flesh crawlers in f2p.. they have 25 hits, easy to kill and only hit ones.. i got around 36k xp an hour in f2p! :D 75 str to 84 in just over 5 days :p

In varrock sewers u can hid behind walls and atk scorpians, or atk the skeletons across the river thingy.and in the room past the skeletons there is a smashed chair stand there and attack the ghosts.

best place to cook isnt catherby....there is a trap door in the bar behind the counter above taverly.. if you go down and go through the door one of the three dudes there is a bank..get ur stuff u wanna cook out then cook on the fire (the fire is never going to burnout) the dude is only a few steps away from the fire too so it is easily the fastest place to cook

training range is easy for members theres many ways you can do it.
the easiest at any level is the cannon, but it cost quite a bit, but i would use that on creatures like the rock crabs, or the ogres east of castle wars and west of yannile. another good way is using iron throwing knives or darts because they are easy to buy or make.
if you want to buy them i recommened just west of fally east bank on world 2, or forums there are people bound to sell them.

or you could do what i did which was mine 10k iron ore (the best place i found to mine iron is just north of yannile where there is clusters of iron ore and the bank is just south, also this is a good spot for power miners and you might be able to find one so you can pick up his ore) then make about 70 rings of forging (you can buy rings of forging in zanaris in the fairy market) and make them all into iron bars then into 50k iron throwing knives. from this i got my smithing from 58 to lvl 68. and it cost me nothing and i got my range up to lvl 70 this way at king larthas training ground where there are loads of caged orges.

another great way to get range up is by using the mini game pest control, and spending the points you get on that on range exp. if you are lvl 90+ try and find a pest control clan on the forums then this would be the fastest range exp you can get it.

The best place 2 get your range lvl up is 2 go the barbairon vill. go down the hole in the ground. and go throw untill u find the minitors kill them 4 awile ig lvl 20-56 u should lvl in 5-30 min.

if u need to get fishing lv up fast from 1 to 40 in about 3-4 hours is to get your small net go to al kardra go to fishing spot by bank get fishing up to 10 then bait fish till 20 then fly fish till 35 then harpoon till 40 then fish lobby till your satified be free to message me in game dont ask me for stuff or i will put u on ingnored list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the best way to get mage up is law run until u have 2k laws or so then do telegrab until mage is 45 then cammy tele until u run out of laws u will get like 100k xp then law run until u get 5k laws sell for 1k each on f2ps worlds and get 5m then buy deaths and kill the lesser on the top of wizards tower and u get a lot of xp from that then once u get 55 mage get a bunch of nats and a fire staff and high alch steel plates and u will get mage up and make tons of money at the same time

A good place to range is the dark wizards circle near varrok. Make sure you dont bring any armor and you have at least 35 ranging....if it's less it will be to hard. If you are lower level kill the level 7's. If your higher kill the 7's and the 20's. they can drop laws and natures and chaos. I made like 30k in a hour just training. Happy ranging! =)

a good place to train on range is in the hill giant place,with the dungeon entrance it is hard for noobs to get in,so no bugging.(not sugested for low level players)

A really good place to train if you are around lvl 45-86 or 87 (could be higher) is on the ghosts in Melzar's Maze. There are always ghosts ready to be killed (unless your really fast...then you have to wait a few sec.) and you get about 30k exp. per hour training def. More if your training Str.

Ok here are some things i didn't say in the last post. 1. When you train on the ghosts you can be lower than the lvls i said but you will have to use more food. 2. If your in the higher end of the range i said you really don't need food. 3. If you train on the ghosts you will get about 30k per hour, depending on your lvl. (i was training Def.) 4. If your a higher lvl or you are bored just train on the skeletons on the next lvl. 5. If you still want something harder just keep going tell you hit the lesser demon. (HINT: The farther you go the higher the chance you will need more and better food.)

the best place get up cooking assuming you already have the uncooked stuff is the thievings guild in burthrope under the bar, for non-members again assuming you already have the uncooked is in edge vil cause usually people are makiing fires there, if not theres a stove right next to the bank

i have lvl 55 cooking and 55 fishing and i did this in just 2 days by going to port sarim (need 30 coins)and going to karamja,i keep fishing and sellling untill my fishing is high enogh for some other fishing tool(use the money u got from selling all ur fish to buy the tool and got on and off the ship i have 600 swordfish but i have probably lost them all the time uve read this : ) good luck trying to get it up

Why the hell is everyone trying to be me!!!
For tips: The boneyard and the chaos altar are good prayer exp
Range/Mage: The lvl 12 minotaurs in the SOS.. they drop iron arrows which are good for training..
Regular cb: For high lvls, go lessers or greaters
Fishing: Get 20 fish with net, then get fly fishing gear till lvl 40, Then grab a harpoon and do tuna in killo (sell to genral store) and once you are about lvl 50, then try lobbies :P
Woodcutting: Chop normals till lvl 30-40.. Make sure you bank and sell for 100gp ea. Then cut willows (bank) untill about lvl 70.. then yews all the way!!

theres a place for f2p that you can range but you can't retreive your arrows. near the crafting guild there is another field of cows and from there a place you can range hobgoblins and make sure you bring telekenic grab but only for law runes because when you use it you waste 1 law rune but they drop two so you gain one. i sudgest to use a crossbow because the bolts only cost 3gp each and get about 5k bolts thats only about 16k so you will get a lot of xp from that, hope this helped. btw my user is methestar6 well one of them.

ppl u want 2 train then get 2 files about the same lvl maybe 10 lvls apart.. then get like lots of food:i prefer lobs cuz they dont cost much and heal 12. so multi log in and giv full inventory o ur food to both files and then go to wildy wer ppl dont fite and fite ur files together (only do 1 file training at a time) then wen u out of lobs trade ur 2 files and wen u completely out go back to bank and repeat this until u get to ur destinatoin. sorry i didnt write so clearly but hopefully you will get it.make sure you dont die and well this gives you the best xp

get ur crafting to 10 then go to camelot to pick flax then pick into u have about 200-300 flax then home telleport go on second floor of lumbridge castle and use the spinning wheel to make bow strings.You will get 15 xp per flax then once u make all into bow strings then sell bow strigns and make $

a great way to train combat is on ape attol in the temple. you have to started monkey madness. you will need 43 prayer for protect from melee, or you will not stand a chanche against these lvl 167 monkey's who are agressive and in multi area.
there is a temple inside wich contains an altar for easily repraying. they will not hit you if you have protect from melee turned on. they can beat their chests and then heal themselfs, so you can easily train alot on these guy's.
it's really advised to bring a couple of antipots, because there will be a few spiders inside the temple who are, like the most of the monsters, poisonious.

i think a good way to train mage is at black demons there is places to hide so u can do range but u need a brass key and u go to the slayer master go to the gate and it will say do u wish to enter the wild and u click yes go past the thiefs and the wizards go through another gate and there should be skeletons lvl 45 then u will see the black demons but watch out there at posionious spiders in the other room so do att them but u need to buy a bunch of mind runes and get a air staff and any other rune u want so u can cast anything and u will barley hit it but u will still get exp and they drop chaos runes so u really dont have to leave have fun!

Hey if u want good def,str,mage,atk,and range just go to the left of lumby palace and there will be a bunch of goblins and giant spiders. these i found excelent to train on and are a lot of fun because there are lots of people around u to talk to.
You can also go here for wood cutting and fire making. All you have to do is chop one of the many trees around you and light them on fire, i got my woodcuttin to lv37 and fire making to lv 25 just by doing that. good luck and have fun doing so.

hey its me again,look if you guys want to really get your killing skills up go to the wizard tower and go kill some wizards there fun to kill and they some times drop law and nature runes. Then when your bored of that or about to die go up 2 floors to the demon who luckly is trapped in his cage, and start to boost ur mage.

i havnt tried this but mabey u can boost range on him too.

this is how to get at lvl 50 fast (for noobs):i started out by killing cows then went on to goblins, after that when i was lvl 20-30 i trained on al kharid warriers and at level 40, i trained on hill giants (lvl 28) once i got to lvl 46 i trained on cows again utill i was lvl 47 then stopped for a month and kept training till lvl 50. this took me about 2 weeks and 5 days!

best spot to train anything is at falador at the white knights.they are level 36-38 and you get around 200xp per one you kill.Also, you can mak alot of money off of this.they drop things like natur runes water runes fire runes mith arrows addys arrows and more..

This is for mems that are out of mems with bank problems and don't care about money. If u a non mem go to hill giants and tunnel in edgeville (try to get the key to it in varrock) and collect and sell big bones.

All pures this is a good place to train!!!if ur high enough in ur pure mage/range go to edgvill dungen north of barbarian village and all the way to the back...blk demons spawn there and there is a spot to range/mage. I trained here for a bit and gained pretty good exp (Good Food RECOMENDED!!!)I hope this was helpful=)

P.S. this is also a good place for higher lvls to fight.

the best way i know how to train hand to hand combat is at level three ( lvl 3 ) train on goblin's level 5 ( lvl 5 ) until level 15
once level 15 get the best weapon you can use and go kill cow's till level 35 once 35 u will have two good option's number one:train on hill giant's but the down side is that there are always a lot of people their.number two:go to varrock and under the grand exchange there are level 24 zombies no one ever goes down there so that might be the better option but if your going for best xp kill hill giants.kill ether one of them till level 60 once level 60 train on any level 70+ to 82 because there are lot's of good xp out there for level 60's train till level 80 then move to greater demon's good luck zezima.

i personaly like training at rock crabs because u get lots of xp unless people with cannons come their lvl 13 but have ok defence they rarly attack and when they do at the most they hit 1s so i would train their for lower to mid lvl players .

Obviously all the people posing as Zezima are completely deluded and have gottne to the stage of 'thinking' they are zezima. You guys are seriously pathetic... and myself, i dont even like zezima, shes a bit of a stuck-up prat that plays the game waaaay too much and has way too much spare time. hey, its dartmaster31. im lvl 81 and im currentaly a member and the best place still i belive to be is the security of stronghold. there is no more detail just look around the SOS and find what monsters suits you. i still personally am on the second floor at lvl 44 zombies add me if your wondering why i am still atacking them. and yes go to the boneyard at lvl 29-31 wildy. tehre in no more pking so dont worry about it. just revenants and zombies. i mostly just go and pick up any bones i see and bury em. or pick up all the big bones and sell em and bury normal ones. peace out.dartmaster31(=

Hi everybody if you want to make money fast here are some tips that help me lots with the first i made 90k in a hour

1)(members) go into the stronghold of secruity and fight flesh crawlers you will see they drop lots of herbs especially rannars which are 5k!
2)(members) goto the flax fields and pick flax get yor crafting to 10 and make them to bowstrings 600 are 126k!
3)(non members) get your fishing to 30 then cah lots of pike sell them in the grand exchange if uncooked they are worth more!

best place to train range lvl 3-10 is chicken pen
11-25 are cows just stay behind the fence until there dead
26-40 are the barb village , stay behind the chairs or tables but at lvl 35 go to hill giants.
from about lvl 40 to 47 got to gaurds in varrock in edge vill ect.
from 47 to 60 go to moss giants in the sewer tunnels in varrock and stay behind the skeloton unless someone else is already attacked.
lvl 60-70 go to lesser demons behind the fire runes and torches.
lvl 70 + become member otherwise stay on lesser demons.

I really am Zezima seriously. Ok, when i was a noob, like everyone is at first, I grabbed my bow and arrows and headed straight to the wizard tower. On the 3rd floor there is a Lesser Demon thats all caged up so I trained my range on it. When i ran out of arrows I was 55 ranging! I got some more arrows and trained and trained and trained until 99 ranging. For mage i got heaps of air and mind runes and a staff of fire. I casted fire strike at the Lesser Demon and got easy XP. Hope this helps train your mage and ranging! =)

The best way to train Attack, strength, and defence is in StrongHold of Security.You atleast need to be lvl 60+. Go to the third lvl in Stronghold and go through the door.Youll see lvl 50 giant spiders and they give good xp.Thats where I train allll the time and i enjoy it there. Add Airco7 if u have any questions. ;)

I think the BEST way to earn money in runescape is to Runecraft.Buy mabye 500+ rune essence or pure essence and Buy an air teira or air tailsmon.Go to falador near yews and go the air alter.If u dont see it look for a glowing rock.Be sure u have your tailsmon with u or teira on.Click the tailsmon and then click rock.With teira just click rock.there should be an alter there.Go to world 16 and REQ Assist people with x8 - x10 assist.Then when it shows the hand in the bottem right corner click the rock and there u go.add me airco7 for anymore help.

how to get clue scrolls lvl 1 easy dont listen to vulkin go to al kharid and kill the al kharid wariors they also drop herbs a lot if u r a mem

things never to by with ur gp. obby stuff its just a waste of gp just go kill thzars u can range mage and hally them safly if u r a low lvl. Also do as many quest as u can to get easy xp items and qp. Do quests that give a way lots of qp so u can trade more.
Green dragons r a good way to get $ and so r cockroaches. IF need charms for summoning go to giant rock crabs or cockroaches they drop tons of them. Also i now if u want ur farming up and u r despersate u can get it up by construction.

and the best way to get preyer up is the go to the chaos alter in wildy and bury all the bones there and keep doing that. All you need is patiance if you spend 1 hour a day after a week or so you should get about 10-15 preyer levels

yeah, this guide was made on November 2006. Long time ago. It's a newbie one, but very special. Actually you guys made this article with all your comments, tips and ways to train. Thx for all these comment, You have my grattitude.

I still remember when I played runescape, I used a way to train firemaking fast: In a free world go to lumbridge general store, bring some money and a tinderbox. Buy a full inventory of willows (they're cheap) and burn them all, repeat aferwards.

Once again thx for leaving your tips. Comments are open to everyone as long as you dont curse or spam.

Fishing/Cooking --- Only lvl making...almost none money making :)

Just take 30coins. Take a lobby pot. Wield an axe if you would need to make fires. And take the tinderbox.

Now. Go to karamja. Go to the fishing spot and fish for lobbies. When you have full inv, just make a fire and cook your lobbies. After that go to general goods shop in karamja and sell your lobbies.
