RuneScape's Pest Control Guide For The Novice

A quick guide to help the Novice on RuneScape's Pest Control. If you're new to the game, you should take a look.

Pest Control is a multi-player game where you fight monsters and protect the Void Knight. To access the game, go toR Port Sarim and find the Squire on the dock. When you get to the Void Knight Outpost, you will see many people on the novice boat, which is the first boat that you will see when you first go on dock.

Now, when I play this game there are usually many people who don't know what to attack or what they should do. This applies to all levels on Runescape including level 100 and up. So here goes what a person should do if on the novice boat.

Level 40-49:

Sadly, you are very limited when it comes to fighting. However, don't worry! I recommend you fix gates to help keep monsters away from the void knight.

If a portal is destroyed most people rune away to the next portal but stay around and kill any leftovers. Don't forget to hit at least 50 hitpoint damage to some low-level monster, or you won't receive your reward!

Level 50-75:

If you are level 50-75, you are best at defending. You should attack the defilers, torchers and spinners.

It's best if you work in groups and attack the same monster at once for faster results. If you see someone struggling to kill something, then lend them a hand. But whatever you do, don't attack the splatters!!!

(Boom!)
They explode and can pack a punch. If you attack one by accident, lead it away from everyone. The second it dies, move! If you do this fast enough, you will avert damage and your hit points will be saved. Keep an eye on every portal's HP. If you see it on 33 and it rises to 100, then there is probably a spinner that no one is killing. Run to that portal and kill it.

Level 76-80:
Two huge problems on the novice boat are brawlers and shifters.

(They can be so annoying!)
This is where level 76-80 people come in. You have to get rid of the brawlers that are in the way of the portals. Just like with the splatters, lead the brawlers away and kill it.
As for shifters, you should move next to the Void Knight and expect the worst: shifters popping around the Void endlessly.

(They transport themselves from the portal to the Void1)

Don't move from there unless most portals are down, the Void's health is good, and there are only 1 or 2 shifters left. If this is the case, then get to the last portals and bring them down.

Level 80+

Your job is simple. Destroy all portals. Don't focus on any monsters unless there are spinners that aren't being killed. If you see a spinner, kill it. Unless there are ten level 100 people, you won't get too far without the spinners dead.

So there goes the novice boat for you! I hope you found this informative. Good-luck and get out there and win.

(P.S- You don't die on Pest Control so take your best armor.)
