The Mysterious Old Man
This guy randomly pops up out of nowhere, and he is the most Common Random Event. I have personally had this guy appear 9 times in one 2 hour game. In other words, this guy shows up the most often. He give you a mysterious box, and when you use it, it spins around and asks you a simple question that only dimwits couldn't discover (I've gotten it wrong before don't worry), and if you get it right, the box gives you an assortment of items, from gems, to coins (my personal fav).
The mysterious Old Man Is also responsible for the Maze, which is my nightmare of all nightmares (it took me 2 hours to get out the first time). In the maze, there is a count-down that starts at 100%, steadily moving down to zero. This percentage shows how much treasure is spread around the maze inside of treasure chests. When it goes down to 0%, all the treasure chests will be empty, and you have to walk all the way to the center, which makes it Uber-boring. But, if you make it to the center with a lot of time left, you will get a large prize. This is a map of the maze that I retrieved from the internet, showing you all of the ways to reach the centre. The starting points are in the four corners.
The Evil Chicken
This cute, cuddly, ferocious chicken which has a different level depending on yours, will attack you out of nowhere. Each time he attacks, he will spit out a random phrase such as "Bwuk", or "Flee from me, ~your name here~!". His attacks are magic and are ridiculously powerful, so I suggest the run away option. Once you get far enough, he will dissapear. But if you are pure of heart, or just plain strong, you can kill him for an egg, a raw chicken, and 50+ feathers.
Drunken Dwarf
This dwarf pops up and gives you a beer. Not very interesting is it?
Genie
This genie appears when out of nowhere and gives you a nice lantern. If you use it, you can add some skill to one of your moves.
Mr Mordaut the Dragon
Sometimes, you are teleported to a classroom far away and will be asked for a surprise exam by Mr. Mordaut. You will have to answer his questions to leave. There are 2 types of questions. In one type, you will be asked to find what comes next in an easy pattern. The second type is harder though. In this question you will be asked to find three things that match a hint that he gives you. When you exit, you will receive a book that lets you add experience to any skill. The amount of Experience you receive depends on the level of the skill that you added it to.
Sandwich Lady
This lady shows up and asks you if you want a sandwich. And It's free! Win-win right? WRONG! First she asks you a question and if you get it wrong, BOOM. she hits you with a baguette and you faint. You wake up in a random place in the RuneScape world. BUT, if you get it right, she gives you that sandwich. YAY!
Evil Twin
In this event, you are teleported at random into a building where you talk to a girl named molly. She will tell you to capture her evil twin in a room with a claw. Kind of like a virtual version of the rip-off game that everybody loses their allowance on. The only thing is that its also full of civillians. You get 3 tries to catch her. you can tell who the evil twin is because she looks exactly like Molly. If you catch her, then Molly will give you a gift, most of the time it's a gem.
Fishing Events
these events only happen when you are fishing.
Big Fish
This happens when you fish with bait for a long time. The big fish will grab your fishing rod and throw it away. You can grab it back though, as it's only visible to you and isn't far away.
River Troll
This... thing, for lack of a better word, attacks you after a long day of fishing. If you kill him, you will get a fishing rod and lots of different fish.
Woodcutting Events
These events only happen while woodcutting.
Ent
Your tree turns into an ent and if you keep hacking at the tree it will break your axe. You will have to take it to the Lumbridge axe shop to have it fixed.
Tree Spirit
A spirit comes and attacks you. It is usually level 126, so it is very strong. If you kill it, it will drop many assorted axes and nature runes.
Mining Events
These events only happen when you mine.
Exploding Rocks
The rock starts smoking, and the explodes, radiating damage to everyone standing near it. It can deal big damage, so if you are low on health, watch out, you could die.
Rock Golem
A strong Golem made of stones appears and attacks you. If you run it will throw rocks at you as a ranged attack. Once you get out of range it stops attacking you and dissapears. But if you kill it, you will get lots of Pickaxes and earth talismans if you are lucky.
Prayer Events
These events only happen when you are burying bones.
Shades
Sometimes, a strong Shade will attack you. If you Kill it, you will earn yourself some shade robes and lots of bones.
Zombies
Same as the Shade, If you kill it you get lots of bones, some runes and talismans of all kinds.
