Skill Used: Mining

Level 1-14 Mining

• Mine copper and tin until you get level 15 Mining
• Best place to mine these ores is south-east of Varrock, where there are 9 copper and 6 tin ores available. After getting a full inventory of these ores, go to Varrock east bank and store them there.
• You can also mine from the Dwarven Mine (7 copper, 11 tin), only if you have a combat level of 65 or higher. This combat level is recommended because there are Scorpions and King Scorpions that may attack you inside. Nearest bank if you choose to mine in the Dwarven Mine is the bank in Falador.

Level 15-29 Mining

• When you get to level 15 Mining, mine iron ores until you get level 30 Mining
• Best place to mine iron is Dwarven Mine (combat level of 65+ recommended). 12 iron rocks can be found here. Use the bank in Falador.
• Another good place is north of Al-Kharid. 9 iron rocks can be found there. Use the bank in Al-Kharid.

Level 30-84 Mining

• This is the hardest and longest part of the process, but this is also the stage when you start earning some big money. When you get to level 30 Mining, mine coal until you reach level 85 Mining.
• I recommend mining in the Dwarven Mine, where 11 coal rocks can be found
• When you achieve a Mining level of 60, things would be a lot easier. You can now mine inside the Mining Guild, where 34 coal rocks and 5 mithril rocks can be found.
• You can mine some Mithril (55 Mining) and Adamantite (70 Mining) during this stage for extra income

Level 85+ Mining

• You hit the jackpot when you achieve a Mining level of 85 or higher! 1 runite ore sells for around 12,000gp and is not that hard to get. That means around 336,000gp per inventory full of runite ores!
• Then only place to mine runite in non-members is north of the Lava Maze (2 runite rocks). Because it is in the wilderness, there is danger of being attacked by revenants. Here are some tips to make mining runite easier and faster:
• Here are the items to be wielded: rune pickaxe, green dragonhide body (requires 40 Ranged and Defence) and green dragonhide chaps (requires 40 Ranged)
• It is also recommended to have 43+ Prayer to use protection prayers
• Bring at least 8 swordfish or lobsters per mining trip
• To make it easier, bring two more accounts to the rune rocks (low-level accounts would be fine, or even better) that will serve as “look-outs”
• When switching world to find runite ores, use one of your look-outs. If there is/are runite ore/s available, log onto your main and mine them but if not, use the other look-out to check a different world. This process of using “look-outs” is recommended so you won't have to wait like 20 seconds when switching a world.
• While mining, you might get attacked by revenants. If this is the case, all you need to do is run away and use the appropriate protection prayer while eating some food, then just log-out (closing your browser wouldn't work).
• After mining a full inventory, store them at bounty hunter bank and you might wanna mine some more…

Notes

• All the ores you mine can be sold at the Grand Exchange or can be used to train your Smithing skill
• Always use the best pickaxe for your Mining level
• In a world with many people, the ores will respawn faster
• I just wanna say that I mine a full inventory of runite in less than an hour, and I know you can do better!!!
