You can prevent yourself from being scammed and hacked in many ways which I have wrote below as I have been scammed before I know how to deal with scammers.
- If you do get scammed IMMEDIATELY report them.
- Set recovery questions
- Always double check the trade box
- Download Anti Spy ware
- Never give your password to anyone
- Don't trust anyone even If they say they work for Jagex
- No one can trim armour therefore never trust them.
- Don't lend your stuff out.
- No one can make you a member for free so don't trust people promising you this.
- Don't go on websites advertised by Runescape there is a chance it could have key loggers attached.
- Never enter your password on any page but the actual runescape website.
- These are my tips to prevent yourself from being scammed/hacked
