Player moderators are the ones who deal with the reports we send. They are part of the customer support, the people with higher command and the ones people trust more. These people work to help the Runescape experience be better for everyone, from 7 year olds to 80 year olds. They work on this everytime they get on Runescape… so, for all this work… do they deserve a free membership?
To get a runescape membership, you pay approximately five dollars a month. You get this money from working. Player moderators are working to make Runescape better when they get on it. So in their work worth a free membership? I think it is. I think that these people who work for us, for free deserve a little from Jagex for working for them to do this. Making the Runescape community more pleasant is important… in a way, almost as important as the graphics, or the components of the game. And who said the community isn't one of them? Improving the quality of the game is important to Jagex, as they seem to find customer support one of their top priorities. Hence I find it difficult to believe that they don't deserve a free membership for their effort.

Well, although I agree they are working in a sense, they are also playing a game. I disagree, they shouldn't get a free membership just for playing an online game. Sure every now and then they have to mute someone, or review a report, but so what? They're still playing a game, right? I'm sure a lot of you reading this are thinking “Beta testers make money for playing games, I'm gonna be a jerk and post a comment on it”, well don't. Mods aren't forced to be mods, they get the choice. It's bragging rights, so why should they be payed?
