Falador
Mining in runescape has been known to many as one of the most profitable skills. A big part of making profit mining in Runescape is knowing where to do it. The best places to mine make the trip to the mine spots and bank the shortest. The best spots in the game are the Falador and Al Kharid mines. The Best spot that I have been able to find has been the Falador mine with the semi-secret entrance. (It is the small circle on the map) Also inside the mine there is the miners guild where the are a ton of coal spots and some mithril spots, however you have to be level 60 in mining to get in. Al-Kharid
Also you will find that the mine in Al Kharid is the second best place to mine as I have found. It is pretty close to the bank with a lot of spots. It takes 10 gold to get to Al Kharid across the toll gate if you have not completed the Rescue Prince Ali Quest. If you have it is free. The toll gate just so happens to be the only way to get to Al Kharid. Here is a picture:
