The money making tactic I'm going to tell you about is not hard at all. You don't need any special level to use it. I know level 3s who have used this tactic and got loads of cash. The only thing you need is a bit of patience. If you have that, you can make around 100k or more every day! Myself I have probably made over 15M using this tactic. But now, let's start talk about the tactic itself.
Start off
First you need about 150k. I suggest that you merchant feathers or rune essences to get this amount of cash.
When you have the cash, head to Falador east bank. If you can't find it, check the world map which is found at the Runescape main website.
Starting the Money Making
When you arrive at the bank, start saying “Buy coals 150 each/Your name”. Be sure to have a calculator nearby. When someone wishes to trade you, accept the trade. Now let the person who you trade with offer her/his coals. Then calculate how many coins you should offer him/her using the calculator. If he/she offers for example 10 coals, you enter “10*150”. Then you see it will become 1,5k.
Keep buying coals until you have got 1000 coal ores. If you had got 150k from the beginning, you will have no cash left, But don't be sad for that. Now I will tell you how to make cash from these coal ores.
Getting the Profit
Now log out, and chose “World select”. Now you should enter world 1. It's most often full, but by choosing “Detail select” and then any of the two details modes, the page with the world will reload. If the world is still full, repeat the process until you can enter it.
Ok, so now you're in world 1 at Falador east bank. This place is always crowded with people selling and buying ores, bars and a lot more.
Now say: “Sell 1k coal ores 180k/Your name”. Soon someone will trade you, and buy the coals from you for 180k.
And voila; You have just made a 30k profit, because you sold the coals for (180k-150k) 30k more than you bought them for!
Keep doing this, and you will make about 100k or more every day.
Making More Cash At Once
Later on, when you have about 300k, or 450k, or 600k, or even more, you can buy several k's of coal ores before you run out of money. Buy as many 1000's of coals as you can before you run out of cash, but never try to sell more than 10k of coals at the time. Very few players want to buy that many coals at once. If you sell a bigger amount of coals at once, you can also try selling the coals for a higher price. But I would not recommend selling the coals for more then 200 each, because then none buys them.
Some Good Advices
- Use color codes when saying that you're buying/selling coal ores. All these codes and what they do could be found in this section in the Runescape manual on the main website: Runescape.com > Manual > Controls > Controls - Options.
- Vary your typing way when selling or buying coal ores. For example you can type “Buy coal ores 150 each---your name”, “Buy all coals 150 each/Your name”, “Buy all coal ores 150 each” or “Buy coals 150 ea”.
- You can try to buy the coals for less than 150 each, but the risk is then that none will sell to you. I don't recommend to do this every time, but sometimes it works.
- When buying coal ores, use worlds with 1,5k+ players within.
- Have Patience! Some days you don't make 100k. I also have this sort of days. Just keep going, you can't always be unlucky, you know.
- Always check out the second trade window, and watch out for scams!
