Lag is one of the biggest glitches in Runescape, it means that the computers freezes and usually have a sign of “Connection lost, please wait. Attempting to reestablish.” Lag is mainly caused by two problems, either the Runescape server you are on is too busy or your internet is having hard time to connect, it may sometimes cause your account logged off automatically, or it will just go back to normal later. This glitch can sometimes be harmless, for example, if you are walking in Vorrack and your computer suddenly lagged, your account logs off its self, you can just log back on and go back to your business, however, if you are in wilderness walking around, you may get caught by an aggressive level 115 revenant and killed before your computer goes back to normal, you computer may also lag during a Fist of Guthix game and you are winning, your computer will log you off and you end up with winning nothing and lose points, personally, I have lost more than 100 points because of lag.
Some tips if your computer ever lags:
- Try to close all your unnecessary tasks (Downloads, web pages and programs)
- If you ever go to deep wilder
- If you are in F2P, change your ad's quality to low, but never block the ad because its against the rule, however, the next ad appears will be change back to high.
- Always bring some teleport runes with you, if you are a high level (around 70-90) and ever attack by a level 75 revenant below level 20 wilderness, you could teleport back to the cities.
- If any lag happens while you are training in the player security, you can just click one of the gates until your computer go back to normal.
