How to Train Woodcutting Fast

Many people forget about it, but Woodcutting has the potential to make you vastly rich. Read this guide to find out how you can train your woodcutting to where you need it to be.

Ahhhh woodcutting. Where to begin... I know! This skill is incredibly dull ladies and gentlemen after you got off of Tutorial Island you probably “mislaid” your bronze ax and forgot all about this skill. Who blames you? But now, you just found out from your friend, who happens to have 2 billion GP and a full party hat set, that he/she made all their money off of woodcutting, and the thing is… they may not be lying.

To make money off of this, you have to have, patience, and know how to negotiate with other players. Again, one of my examples, a general store will buy a yew log (the highest tree non-members can cut) for a maximum of maybe 100gp. That same log can be sold to other players, especially members for prices ranging from 300-1000gp each. For those of you who had a head time with the math on my fishing guide, the floor price to another player is 300gp. The max price to a store is 100gp. 300gp is bigger.

So this guide will teach you how to train your woodcutting quickly and soon you will own that skill cape. If you liked this guide, don't hesitate to click that “I liked it” button. This gives me something close to 0.1 cents, and when enough of you do it, it gives enough money to publish these articles.

Wood Cutting Levels 1-14 - “Trees”

At this point, you have exactly 1 option: Normal Trees, appropriately named in Runescape: “tree”. These are the worst trees to ever cut, but you have to start somewhere. These are found all over Runescape. Persevere, and eventually you'll reach level 15.

Wood Cutting Levels 15-29 - “Oak Trees”

Now, you have two options, Oak trees, called “Oak Trees” when you clock on them and the hated “Trees”. Stick with the oaks; they are slightly better, but better nonetheless. These are found mixed in with normal trees.

Wood Cutting levels 30-59 - “Willow Trees”

Now you have 3 options. They are oaks, trees, and ohhh, its new willows!! Willows will be bought by some people for around 100gp each. You can cut them in two places 1 if you want to hold on to them and 1 if you just want to level up. The spot to cut if you wish to keep them is just south of Draynor bank. There are a bunch of willows there and the bank is a total of, maybe 20 steps away. The spot for pure leveling is by the pub in Port Sarim. Here there is a strand of willow trees and you can cut and light those if you bring your tinderbox you can also just drop the logs.

Wood Cutting level 60-99 - “Yew Trees”

This is when all your hard work pays off and you can get filthy rich from your wood cutting. You can find Yews where there are tree-like icons of the map. By far, the closest yew trees to a bank are the ones behind Varrock castle. Sell in bulk for a better individual cost. Bulk= 200 per trade or more.

Misc: Always use the best ax you can afford and use. It helps if your attack is high enough to wield the ax as this saves 1 inventory space.

lvl96 wc by the way wc is a suckish way to make money. i am only good at it because i started when the game was released so that was the best then. now do stuff like mine and fight giants for big bones. trust me i am 27 and one of the oldest runescape players. woodcutting takes to long and most of you will give up before you get there.
